A question for you Atlanta based folks regarding the Celebration Bowl

The game promos imo didn't start running until about Wednesday. That's when I heard it on V103. But hell, if the black radio stations aint pushing it, don't expect much from the city.

Do we really expect disengaged Atlanta residents to perk up and support the CB off some TV/radio promos?

OK, so my point is this. I understand (and hopefully most of you do too) that this is an ESPN owned event. It is a made for TV event. The focus isn't on whose in attendance, but who is watching on TV. However, such events always present opportunities for sponsorships and community support.

Really??? OK.

There will most likely be a major sponsor in place WELL BEFORE the game in 2018.

This game will never have 40, 50k+ attendance this close to Christmas, especially with GSU involved (jury is out on SU but highly unlikely also). That's not a shot at anybody...it's just reality.

It's also not going to have masses of HBCU alums from other schools either. Some will attend, some won't. It is what it is.
75 dollar tickets wouldnt stop me from going to see SU in that game and if you ask most, they dont give a rats ass about the ticket prices if SU in it.
