Who gives a rats azz about you moving your home game to that dump down in Lorman? It's ashame we gotta risk life and limb riding down there for another victory. Your President don't know what the hell he gettin yall into.
He's operating on pure emotion and will soon regret it.
Hope nobody get's into any major accidents to and from that 22,000 seat dump that ain't been sold out since McNair, which was damn near 20 years ago.

Alcorn sold out against southern in 2004 with 33,000.

Once again. I dont claim to be a genius. It s simple math to me.

22,000 tickets x $35 per head = 770k

Give or take discounts and freebies, add parking concessions, maybe a sponsership.

I aint the smartest but... 500k sounds good to me... Go head Alcorn

make sure you've got gas in your ride, your tires aren't bald, and both your head lights work, cause your coming to Alcorn State. we can handle the crowd. the game back in 94 was off the chain. yall not afraid to come down in the woods with a white man are ya? after all it's 2012. you don't have to be afraid of Hobson. :emlaugh:

My point is if they have to pay their own expenses out of the money they are being offered it is not enough. They should come out better financially staying at home and making the team from Jackson come to their place.

You are correct. Ticket sales alone will be over $400,000. Throw in parking and concessions and we're looking at $500K easily. They keep talking about a logistical nightmare coming to and leaving campus; what about getting stuck on State Street or Woodrow Wilson and having to park 2 miles from the stadium? Those of you who want to get out of jacktown for a day and enjoy our hospitality and our beautiful campus come on down. For those of you who are complaining, stay at home, do you another piece of crack and shut the hell up!!!:uzi::smash:

Wow...so this thread turned into this garbage ...
And I was thinking that only JSU folks destroy decent threads. Don't have to listen to that crying game anymore

And BTW....JSU set USMs attendance record.
I'm sure you didn't want the answer, you just wanted to ask the question.

Then again I'm smart enough to know that setting attendance records on the road is the silliest thing to poke your chest out about when you only average 13k at home. Setting attendance records on the road is more about the home team fans being more curious than usual and coming out to see the game.

I really don't understand why SU folks are on this thread doing math and trying to be game promoters. Y'all are the worst school in the SWAC. Y'all have ALWAYS gotten pimped. If you put half the effort in your own school that you put into this thread y'all wouldn't be one of the only school cutting programs. You guys are ridiculous.

Are there ANY people in the world more delusional than SU fans? I hope y'all are just joking, if not y'all have to be the most ignorant group of MFers I've ever seen. And it don't stop here, just go anywhere on the internet SU folks are and you hear the same garbage. All if this coming from a struggling school that has won 6 games in 2 years. You have no history. Hell over the past 50 years you might be able to scrap together 10 good seasons...THATS 20 DAMN PERCENT.

Ain't y'all the same people whose athletic program was in such bad shape that you ran to old Jackson Confederate stadium begging JSU to save your programs. Who was getting pimped then? Sure wasn't Alcorn. There is something seriously wrong with y'all. But don't worry ole GR won't let y'all get away with this smoke screen. We all know this is a diversion from the results expected in 2012. When LyvoniaMitchell gets thru tearing SU down you will be lucky to get 25k to that dog&pony show in NewOrleans.

Good luck...sorta.

0-4 here they come

yall do know there are tons of comp tickets printed and distributed? Plus people with passes, stadium personnel, etc. floating in there so who knows how many paid tickets are sold?

JSU's problem is they focus to much on GSU and SU, that's why they didn't see it when Alcorn pulled the rug from under their wanna be uppity azzez.

Just like State Farm pulled the rug from yall, and soon to be NBC.
Yall need the BC funding wayyyyyy more than JSU needs the CCC. Our athletic budget isn't tied down to one game. Think about that.

Pop, what's the use playing in a stadium that holds 60K if you can't fill it up? Just saying.

Easy answer.....IT'S FREE!! LOL!! We don't have to payout a million dollars just to make a million dollars back. Hahahahahaha!!!

It's always puzzled me as to why SU and GSU payout a million dollars just to get virtually the same amount back. What's the purpose?

You are correct, which is why Alcorn's Prez requested at least $500,000 to keep it in Jackson, MS.

So the city of Jackson should pay Alcorn more than Miss. State paid them? Jackson should pay more than SU and GSU get from New Orleans? You guys pay one million to get how much back in return? 600,000 apiece? From my calculations, that's only 200,000 dollars, which equates to 100,000 dollars apiece.
Now your main sponsor has pulled out.

East Baton Rouge parish alone Generates more money than the whole Metro area of Jackson....Do u wanna compare numbers Metro vs Metro???.....Your city is left out hungry when there is a away game....thats why they pump so much money into JSU

What's East Baton Rouge parish generating more money than Jackson have to do with SU/GSU folks pumping millions into the New Orleans economy instead of the Baton Rouge/Grambling communities? Nothing.

At the least, Jackson get's the game every other year, but BR and Grambling don't get jack from the BC any year.
On the other hand, one can only imagine the amount of money pumped into the New Orleans economy by BC attendants.
Has to be more than 5-6 million.
Since some want to make comparisons, just imagine if most of that money was put in the Scotlandville economy or Grambling economy.

Then again, if the game wasn't in New Orleans, NBC wouldn't televise it and no sponsors would be as interested.
Need I get more technical?

Trying to understand jSU's logic would make anyone just say, what the fugg are they teaching them at that school.

It's Alcorn's home game and no matters which school has the most in-attendance, Alcorn should make the most money for its home game. Not only Alcorn should demand their share of the wealth, but they should also require that the endzones be re-painted purple and gold with Alcorn Braves stamped all over it when it's their home game.

Just like Southern demanded in 2009? Wait, those endzones were STILL painted in blue and white.

Dang GR! You didn't have to call su out like that.
That welfare case is in serious trouble right now. Let's not make fun of them.

Just like Southern demanded in 2009? Wait, those endzones were STILL painted in blue and white.

Those fools can't even paint their own field in Dumpford.
Did anybody else notice that dry ass dead grass and no paint?
All season... that's what happens when they don't play their home-JSU games in Jackson...
Times are tough in The boot smh

CW, you are correct. That demand was not met and they STILL played at our stadium.
Has JSU ever played a home game on SU's field or Alcorn's.....EVER?

Some folks just don't get enough.:emlaugh:

Furthermore, he's talking about what Alcorn should demands when SU couldn't even get half of what Alcorn received when playing their home game in Memorial. At least we allowed them to sit on the home side.
