I know it is around 7,400 now... the next phase is around 8,000... you cannot admit more students than there space. Yes the goal is higher, but it cannot be done until more space is secured.

I am the former chapter president of my local chapter, a member of the national alumni association and former chairman of the national alumni scholarship committee, and a former board member of the A&M foundation. I attend the board of trustee meetings and the national alumni board meetings. These issues were discussed at both of those meetings during the magic city classic week. And they did discuss the fact that they had to limit admissions because of a lack of capacity.

There is not enough room to house all students on campus. My sister is a director at one of the dorms on campus. Only freshmen and sophomores were guaranteed rooms on campus. If any rooms were left over, upper class students might have gotten them, but most were placed off campus in apartments rented by the university. Our chapter had to help freshmen students get rooms by making sure they reserved the room and paid the room deposit. The only reason my niece, a sophomore, can get a room on campus next year is because she works as a residential assistant.

There were students who did not have options this year. If they did not reserve a room, they were out of luck and either had to find their own or return home.

In regards to bid prices, as an attorney, I know BSC has a fiduciary duty ( that is a legal duty) to get the highest price it can to pay off the debt to creditors. It would be a breach of that duty to accept a lower bid over a higher bid without some justification for doing so. If they did, the members of BSC's board of trustees could be held liable for that lost revenue.

No university is housing all their students. Schools admit more kids , then space all the time

A&Ms main campus will be close to 10k real soon..Pres. Wims said that was his goal

I can definitely see that happening. I believe our hbcu's are seeing record enrollments
and that is pretty awesome. Morgan State is now the 3rd largest hbcu as they have
reached
over 10K students. Keep going yall.

Yes, babies, come on home to your hbcu of your choice. We gotcha.
;)
