Last night ASU threw a monkey wrench into Arizona, Utah and ASU moving together. The Big 12 might exclude them from the conference. Arizona and Utah were PISSED!!! I hope the Big 12 let them go to the mountain west. Utah and Arizona are a sure thing, not ASU.

ASU president decided not to take the financial loss of being in the Mountain West Conference, Arizona tried to tell him what was happening, but he was clinging to the PAC. He almost screwed Utah out of membership in the Big 12.

No one is saying what will happen to California, the consensus is that OSU and WSU will end up in the Mountain West, Stanford will go as independent. Who knows what will really happen. Maybe the Big 10 will pick up Stanford and California for academic reasons.

Its a hot mess.

FSU has gone crazy! FSU and Clemson want to go to the Big 10, but they have a LARGE PAYOUT to leave the ACC.

The Mountain West has the poison pill set in their contracts that schools would have to pay to get out in a timely manner. That's why SDSU was trying to get that extension to make a decision while waiting on that Pac12 invite.

Just think a few years ago everyone was saying the demise of the Big12 was coming. Looks like they will be striving.
 
Those schools that aren’t able to find a Power 4 conference to go to will have to cut some sports because of operating costs now they won’t get all that TV money.

Stanford will be able to handle it on their own.
 
I would take Stanford and Cal if I were the Big 10. Might as well at this point. Its not like Stanford doesn't have a good all around athletic department
