Dear SWAC Office, are other players not from Grambling allowed to win player of the week?

This is the 2nd time in about 3 weeks a Valley quarterback has had better numbers but not been selected SWAC Player of the Week. What's up with that?

3 weeks ago Dewayne Betts put on a show against UAPB and was snubbed, now this week Jett Even has a record-setting day breaking a passer rating mark at Valley that was held for over 30 years by Willie Totten and he can't even get named Newcomer of the week???? I mean damn Grambling isn't the only school playing football.

I doubt seriously if the commissioner will see this post. Might be best to contact him directly and raise this question.

Oh. You mean how Carter got Special Teams POTW against these same nobodies

Special Teams Player of the Week
Martez Carter
Grambling State
Running Back/Return Specialist
RB/RS | Jr. | 5-8 | 175 lbs. | Monroe, La.

During Grambling State's 72-12 rout over Virginia-Lynchburg, Carter racked up 226 all purpose yards, highlighted by a 57-yard punt return for a touchdown, and an 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the win. He also rushed for 78 yards on just three carries.

Call a spade a damn spade. Betts had MORE touchdowns and passing yards in a WIN but got snubbed for a Grambling player.


And this doesn't just happen in football. Rita Gyasi had a shut out in a 1-0 WIN over Nicholls State but gave it to a JSU goalie in a 2-0 LOSS

CLASS DISMISSED.

The SWAC doesn't deserve the other schools they willfully ignore on a regular basis.
 



I think the first couple of weeks of the season, Alcorn players were POW. I don't really keep up with it so I didn't know that it's been all Grambling lately.

Errrrr. Class is still in SESSION!! Y’all should stop with this BULL!!! All y’all do is complain when something doesn’t go your SCHOOL WAYS!! Hell TRIPPIN over POTW choices. PETTYYYYY!!

Carry on though and nothing the SWAC office does should surprise anyone.

GUD is focused on the W’s and not no damn POTW honors y’all WHINING ABOUT!!

This is what you say when you get slapped with evidence that the SWAC is biased towards certain schools

I think you might need to peek in on Facebook then if you think Grambling people don't gloat over POTW awards.

They will gloat over here when the POY is named. But this is the second week that someone from Valley has been snubbed and that's a fact.

I've kinda figured it out when we had players snubbed for the poster child of the SWAC. Since Grambling is ranked we (the SWAC) have to keep their name in the public. Grambling sweeping the honors twice brings attention to the conference.
