Dear SWAC Office, are other players not from Grambling allowed to win player of the week?





How many president's besides Gallot and Sharp's friend from PV were seriously listened to regarding the SCG?

Likewise to the Grambling player who threw for less TDs and yards but the SWAC office approves of average numbers from "name" schools over deserving players.

As someone said before, this makes the SWAC office look like a clown show when outside entities have to give non-Grambling schools recognition before they will to schools in their own conference.

You just mad that your team is trash, and individual performances against teams that are considered contenders has everything to do with it. 300 passing yards vs the top ranked defense in the SWAC means more than a QPR vs a team that’s not even NAIA. It’s all about competition and y’all havent beat anybody worth talking about

I love our Conference; we truly have some gifted athletes in all sports categories our schools offer, but I gave up years ago on the logic, credibility, and rationale of the past 2 SWAC commissioners and the Conference decisions concerning POTW/POTY. Not taking away from any of our athletes' accolades or their Conference recognition, but I actually think it's better when we (SWAC) receive recognition from the outside. Outside recognition isn't biased and takes a more in-depth look at the athlete's talent, skill, accomplishment, and athleticism. I love when I log on the Forums and read stuff like Fiyah just posted. Maybe someone could start a weekly thread that recognizes SWAC athletes from outside sources.

And I was waiting for someone to mention "Golden Shoe 42" (Jamie Gillan):cool:
 
What's so funny is I bet if any SWAC team beat Grambling that team will get the Offensive and Defensive player of the week.

Look whether folks like it or not GSU is dominating....let me say it again dominating....we are on a 22 game winning streak and Fobbs has only lost 3 home games since coming to GSU. Heck there are times we are winning by 2 or 3 TDs and he takes out his starters, tones down plays, starts running to play the clock....meaning he takes his foot COMPLETELY off the gas.

Now you all can bitch and moan at the SWAC office but really how can you complain about not getting a POW when you play teams with losing records or teams below the FCS?

The 3 best teams in the SWAC are GSU, PV, and Alcorn. We dominated PV and Alcorn.

But hey we don't get the credit we just GSU. LOL
