You didn't answer the question. You have already given us the Grambling answer. Now is the time to man up.

Why didn't Alcorn fans support the SCG like they did last year or the year before?

Uh..... my second sentence answered that sir. " At least with Alcorn record you would have a few fans not to show but what about Gram?"

But we had twice as many fans still. With a 5-5 record. C'mon man YOU just got to man up and say "Gram be bsing when it come to attending the SCG."

So you have just proven the VERY point I was making from the jump. You are accusing Grambling folks of being guilty of the same thing Alcorn folks are guilty of. EVERYBODY, (including you Alcorn folks) are LESS WILLING to spend money on any game that involves the perception of a game -- that on paper -- appears to be a mismatch. That's not meant to be a criticism of anyone. That's just they way it is.

The perception of last year's contest (between the same teams) was greater, thus more people showed up. That is the case with any game. The BC was no different this year compared to last. There was more on the line compared to last year.

DAMN!

ummm hol up,
That number can't possibly be right.
WIth all those clubs, and malls, an enclosed NFL stadium and every other "reason" that was posted, Houston was surely gonna draw at least 40K every year right?

Stay on the damn high road MH. LOL. I was wondering when you would show up off the road.

Fans do have impact on games. Bayou Classic 1999 is a prime example. Once SU started coming back, SU fans made so much noise, it effected Gram. Also SU/JSU 97. That's why Jsu opens the gates on SU side a hour before the game no lol.

Uh V, think about who you are talking too about fans impacting a game. LOL.

The fact remains that there were three games with over 40K in attendance in SCG history. Icon Gram has played in three of them.

Also, a strong argument can be that the highest attended game of 47K in 1999 was due to all bands being present. Considering the first Icon Gram / J-State game had 43K without a similar added benefit, this attendance is more impressive.

G in Grambling symbolizes Greatness. Grambling was be a draw and interest for the casual fan because we are the Icon of BCF. Having 40K in two of three games with 40K in attendance says it all.

It's the big city. Everyone was supposed to show up.....~snicker~

I just have one question. Did Tiger pride make it to the game? TP said he would attend every year just because it was in Houston. Just saying........

I don't know where this wagon lost the wheel but you keep giving me an excuse. There should be no excuse is what I'm saying. So what has been Gram reason in the previous SCGs in which they played that had poor attendance on their part? There wasn't a 5-5 team playing in previous years. So that's where I say it's something with Gram because they are the ones involved when the attendance looks like crap. Your fan base should show up regardless.

Damn, stop with the excuses. It has happened before. On more than one occasion. This is a pattern.

No, you need to stop denying the excuses. I've provided the FACTS that support my argument. You want to ignore your school's losing season and the ridicule that came with it and put it off as a Grambling problem.

I know its hard to accept, but it was what it was. I tried to be nice about it before, so I will break it down in more simple terms. (And this is not intended to be smack.)

Grambling (with exception of Zona) kicked the ass of every team it played by 20 points or more. Grambling kicked Alcorn's ass the first time by 25 points. So, given all of those ass kickings, and given how the SWAC West kicked the asses of the teams in the SWAC East, and how the media and just about everyone on this board and social media predicted Grambling would win again.

The Grambling folks said, "Shid...after all that moneyI spent in NOLA, I am not about to spend more money just to see (big bad) Grambling kick (5-5) Alcorn's ass again."

The Alcorn folks (who you yourself admitted didn't show up like last year) said, "Shid...Grambling is kicking everybody's ass. They almost beat Zona. They beat our asses by 25 points and beat a pretty good SU team by 22 points. I am not about to drive across 2 state lines just to see (big bad) Grambling kick my (5-5) Braves ass again.

Guess what, it probably didn't go as scripted, but the GSU and Alcorn folks were right. Grambling kicked Alcorn's ass again.

Please explain for me the reason for we Alcorn having more people show (even though not like last year we still brought a lot of fans) than Grambling being that we had a 5-5 record. I could see Alcorn not showing, but Grambling had no reason not to.

Reading is fundamental. I already explained that. Not about to address it again.
