I agree that OL is good. It's our strength and we got a ton of them back next year that rotate on that OL. Chennis Berry has done a great job with the OL since he got to SU. He works them boys and we got some players that he thinks will be even better as they mature than the group that is starting. Now we just got to get some for the other side of the ball outside of Tiller.

Jstate kept RBs back in the day. Both of them boys went to the NFL. Rhett started longer than Emmitt did I believe. Bigger back too and probably faster than Emmitt. I would say Rhett was a better athlete than Smith. Emmitt left with a year eligibility left because Spurrier got hired and said you might as well go pro or something to that effect. LOL.

Best NFL Back of all time? These are my rankings.

1. Walter Payton... he never had the OL until late in his career that Emmitt had. And he had no QB or WRs early in his career to keep folks out the box. Folks knew Walter was getting the ball. Plus he could block and catch the ball. Complete RB. Great overall athlete.

2. Barry Sanders... He made plays on his own. LOL. On a suspect team for much of career.

3. Emmitt Smith.... Can't argue that he is the all time leading rusher. Played hurt. One can argue he was just as much of a complete back as Walter. But he had HOF OL, HOF QB and WR to take pressure off him for most of his career. I have nothing but respect for Emmitt

I can't recall who I was debating a few weeks ago about Austin, but next year...you'll see how good this dude is....he's doing what's needed now, but next year..teams won't be able to stop this kid..mark my words...

But yea the O-Line is a beast for SU...
 
Most of this guy's runs are being done by himself, no lead FB blocker, he's getting the carries from a "standing" position (shotgun lined next to the QB) most RBs are coming out of an I-set which gives them a burst of speed leading up to the line of scrimmage...I mean just adding those elements into play, really adds more volume to him becoming the all-time leading rusher in this conference. I think I haven't seen anyone better than him. just my opinion. I've seen RB have good games, good second half/1st half seasons, but an all-around career, from FR - SR, I gotta go with Tillery hands down, noone to me has put together a career like this kid has in this conference.
 
I remember this kid, I wanna say last year or maybe it was his Sophomore year, he wasn't the starter, I think Odums fell in love with Crocket, Tillery I think fell to the number 2 or 3rd back, we had another kid also at RB that had come into the program (a transfer), Dude never gave in...he earned his starting position back the very next game....

That's what makes it more remarkable that dude racked up all of those yards literally with no lead blocker...wing-tees...I-sets...all have big FB blockers leading the way...this kid is literally 5 - 6 yards behind the line of scrimmage...QB gets it 1st and then he hands it off to him..while he waits...(yes I'm putting emphasis on this procedure) that's where if not all of his carries are coming from...

Fr - year (he split time with another FR RB)

So- he dropped down to the 4th string RB, I wanna say the first two games of that season

JR- he split time with a SR RB, who also put up rushing numbers that year..Crocket

SR- he has gotten most of the bulk

On the slick, everyone focused on Steve Spurrier's passing stats while at Florida, but he had some great RBs too. Rhett, Fred Taylor, and Ernest Graham all were 1,000 yard backs that helped bring balance to the offense.
