Who are the HBCU football coaches on the hot seat?

Much better! But I didn't want to get into it with him since he's trying to use the PV/AAMU game to gauge his team. Those 49 points were the most they scored against ANYONE last year.

And those DBs didn't magically appear or get eligible... They were already eligible. One got hurt in the sTu game and the other was held out for disciplinary reasons by Coach Simmons. He missed the first four games.
That's not what I heard lol, but that's another topic for another day. SU scored plenty of enough points to win that game. We had all those unforced turnovers and barely lost.

That mf'n blocked FG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

You shouldn't even be fixing your fingers to discuss AAMU football until your players figure out how to execute and beat ours.......

Dude, we kick ya'll azz on the regular. What are you talking about. You beat us what? 3 times in the last 10 years? Come on bruh!

Very few. No impact starters played. Starting QB was out, 3 starting OL were out, Lanier and Brower were out as well. Lot of the guys on the field weren't even on scholarship

We basically played SU & Alcorn on one leg.

Dude, be honest.. AAMU does not HAVE impact players. 80% of your starters would be 2nd and 3rd string at other schools. On top of that, you currently have THE worst HC in the conference now that OMJ is gone. You better hope you don't slip up and win 6 games. You don't want Spady to get an extension. Your only hope is for him to go.

All jokes/smack aside, all JSU needs to contend for the East is a solid run game to help Ivy & the WRs. The defense is there. Javancy Jones will probably have 10+ sacks.

We will look like a different team on offense and special teams. Defense is a concern but we have good talent there and I actually think we have a well rounded and SENSIBLE defensive coaching staff.

I may be wrong but our entire staff needs to be on the seat of hell fire. Coach Coleman and the rest of you guys things best shape up THIS SEASON or it could be a long off season for you. With the way we have looked these past three season I'll take 6 wins!!! GOODNESS!!!! We shall see come Labor Day weekend.

1. Spady (Must win 7 games)
2. Comegy (Must win 4 games)
3. Coleman (Must win 5 games)
4. Odums (Must win 7 games, or 6 including the Bayou Classic.)
5. Grambling's Defensive Coordinator (Must win the SWAC title). Lol

Spady - I think he can win 5-6 games AND win the MCC as long as AAMU looks better than they did last year
Comegy - Agreed. Valley just have to show signs of improvement.
Coleman - Agreed.
Odums - As I said before, if Odums goes 6-5 and loses the BC, his seat will be warm next year
Grambling - Agreed. I think there will be rumblings if Grambling wins 8-9 games this year but not win the SWAC

Comegy needs to start winning some games
It's an uphill battle for Comegy, bruh. He's giving it his all. I know all our schools have their challenges, and I know excuses are monuments of nothing....but he has had some good recruits interested but got turned off on their visits. Some kids couldn't make the grade. But I get it....any decent coach in the conference should be able to win 4 or 5 games in any given season. If your coach ain't doing that, he needs to go.

We're just lucky to field a team. If we win 1 game I will be surprised. We are a stain on the East.

I disagree. Considering the mess of a team Fobbs inherited, and managed to do with in year one...I think he is set for a minute.

+1

Fobbs took a team that boycotted the year before and damn near went to the SWAC Championship the next year. The following year Fobbs was in the SWAC Championship.

Kudos to Comegy for staying. I thought he would have jumped shipped and went to a D2 since he got his 10 years. I guess he is content to retire in MS. Maybe he can make something out of Valley if he stays 2-3 more years.

People forget how easy it is to turn things around in the SWAC. But I don't think an 8 or 9-win season without an SCG win will have folks mad at Fobbs. 6 or 7 wins? Possibly.

No Smack intended. But Honestly, I've heard from a very good inside source to the program at Valley that Comegy is out of it. He is not invested. Basically, he is just collecting a check.

That's just Comegy being Comegy. Comegy is all about recruiting the best players possible, then sitting back and letting his coaches do their thing. He never seems to take a genuine interest in his program. He just wants to win now. He's not about longevity and sustainability. "What do we need to do to win THIS year?"....that's Comegy's approach, and it comes off as him 'mailing it in'.

Problem is, he can't afford a good staff right now.

Plus who wants to come to Valley.
I still think that there are coaches out there who can make Valley a more competitive program. If they want to win the SWAC, they will have to up the scholarships....correct me if I'm wrong, but they aren't giving out the max of 63. But there are coaches who can make them competitive. I still don't like the way they did Totten- I think he was good for them- but hey I'm on the outside looking in.
