Yeah the coach got fired.
He lost political support.
Maybe they can bring down the NCAA next.
Well, for what it is worth, there are Latino and Asian groups at PWIs as well. It's not just black folk.
If they weren't football players and the money element wasn't involved does it get this far?
Isn't it amazing how black students at PWIs will protest for equal acceptance, while black students at HBCUs protest for minimal funding? Which is worse or better?
I believe the arguments have the same merit. Although the latter would be framed as HBCU students protest for maintaining services as the schools continue having to make cuts
I doubt it. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that black students (who are not athletics) at Mizzou started the protest but it didn't get nearly the attention it did unitl after the football team joined the effort.
Right, but in the case of public institutions, those cuts are made at the state level.
Them Big Money Mizzoui alums/boosters have spoken. LOL. Recruiting was at stake. Football is still king.
I saw on the news they would have had to pay BYU 1 million dollars if Mizzou cancelled the game this weekend. It certainly played a role.... And that's just 1 game....
No, the power of Black people have spoken when we stick together for a just cause. The Mizzou alums/boosters are merely the result of Black folks putting their energies together in the first place.Them Big Money Mizzoui alums/boosters have spoken. LOL. Recruiting was at stake. Football is still king.
White folks gone say what they gone say behind the monitor of a computer or behind closed doors, so that's not surprising.Yup, nobody likes to lose money ...
