Ohio State's Cordell Jones is looking like a damn fool





Jones got hot at the right time for OSU. Def Coordinators have had a full year to prepare for him and has shown where his weaknesses are. He would have made more money going pro and getting drafted this year but next year he'll get drafted for less money than he could've gotten this year.

In other words, he'd been a day one pick who probably would have made a few millions before he got exposed compared to getting exposed for free who making OSU more money.

I guarantee you the next player in this situation will pull a Myles Jack over a Cardale Jones
 
So yall didn't watch other QBs drop after pre-draft workouts? Dude would have probably gone 3rd day last draft because teams would have scrutinized him more in the interview/workout process due to the lack of tape. No way was he going in the 1st round.

With his size, his arm, you saw his mobility, he’s got supreme confidence level. Three biggest games, he played well. Was he perfect? He would've went first day in a weak qb class. Urban mindfugged him into staying and He really will get scrutinized this year moreso than coming off a National Championship. You gotta strike while the iron is hot, not lukewarm. He can learn in the League and get Paid. Urban dont teach qbs shiiiit. So mow Cordalle is 2years behind jnstead of being ahead one and getting paid for it.

He probably would've gone to the Browns instead of them picking Manziel. Btw he would've went 3rd day last year like you say then that means he would go undrafted this upcoming NFL draft which still makes a bad decision

No he will still go early 3rd day at worst unless he has a horrible off field hiccup. Like I said... the EVALUATION process will be the deciding factor.

P.S.: The Browns picked Manziel in 2014, not 2015.

Correction on that I meant McCown. He would've gone 1st day just based on the hype that he had at the time.

He was not going in the first round dude. No NFL executive was going to do that. LOL. Yall are crazy. You don't do that after seeing a kid 3 games. Once he would have worked out for the scouts and NFL folks, they would see the same weakness he has shown over time and his STOCK would have dropped before the draft. Hell you saw how they dissected Winston and Marriota after seeing them for years. LOL.

Exactly. If anybody who got screwed was Zeke Elliott who couldn't come out. He was the MVP of the championship run. He made Cardale's job easy. Dude ran for 200 yards in each of their post season games. Starting at the BIG Ten title game. Dude is a beast. He was the one who broke BAMA's back.
 
Jones gambled on himself and is losing right now. No way y'all can come on here and say he would've been better off staying in school. His stock was high at the time. To say that he would've been drafted on the 3rd day last draft (when was at his best) and will be drafted on the 3rd day next draft (when he's not on the same level) makes no sense.

So what evidence you have that said he was going to get drafted higher? You don't think Urban and his family sat down and did their homework on what folks were saying? Cardale knew just like J4L is saying, once his arse had to go to the combine or workout for the teams. His shortcomings would be found out. Hence him getting drafted on day 2 or 3. Fans got caught up in those 3 games. The real star was not him. It was Elliot. He is the one who wishes he could have left as a true Soph. Especially being a RB.

Jones needs work. and the teams would have found that out as soon as he went through his work outs. Wasn't like the draft was going to happen the month after the championship.They would have had a long time to dissect his game. He will have the same opportunity this year. I've already posted an article with a scout that says he would've been a first rd pick. Tebow's shortcomings were discovered also but he still was a 1st Rd Draft Pick. Jones had the hype by beating three of the top teams in the nation in his first 3 starts as a college QB. That right there would've gotten him a strong consideration in the 1st Rd

And I posted 2 articles that say otherwise. I would have bet my paycheck he wouldn't went in the first round for 3 games. Especially when the RB was the one who carried the team on his back through the title. Poor Zeke is getting no credit. That was just rhetoric with him not having to work out for teams. And even Tebow after 4 years got drafted late in the first round. Cardale would have performed just like he is doing now at his workouts and thats when folks would have seen why JT Barrett was the starter in the first place. Cardale does not fit every offense in the NFL. So he automatically would have been off their board. What team outside the top 2 teams needed a QB? You think he was going before Winston and Marriota? The other teams that sucked already had their supposed QB of the future. Cleveland was already stuck with Manziel. Buffalo and NY Jets were stuck with their mistakes at drafting QBs. With Manuel and Geno. The Rams traded for Foles. So tell what team was going to draft him in the first round? Bengals, Steelers, Patriots, Green Bay, Cowboys, Giants, Minnesota, Seattle, Carolina etc all have QBs with big contracts. The Saints need a Brees replacement.But Cardale don't fit Sean Payton scheme. Philly's coach don't want a black QB. LOL. San Diego has Rivers. Denver needs Peyton Manning's replacement, But they haven't even thought to draft anyone high. Jacksonville drafted Bortles the year before. The Bears were stuck with Cutler's contract. The Niners had just signed Kap to his extension and this time last year they were happy with him.

So again I ask what NFL team outside Tampa and Tennessee who had no QB at all would have drafted a QB in the first round in 2015. Even the Redskins can't do anything until they get rid of RG3.

If he shows well at the combine this year. He has a better chance of moving up the board and he is eligible to play in the Senior Bowl which he wasn't last year. He will be fine.

Okay. How do you know that? JT Barrett just fits Urban offense which is not helpful for Cardale in the first place. If he does well in the Sr Bowl and combine he will remain a viable 2nd day pick just like the EXPERTS still have him. You guys are the ones saying he is dropping. And we don't know if he is done playing for the year anyway. Anything can happen. Jones needs to hire a QB guru as soon as the season is over and prepare for the draft. Teams know he shows up in BIG games. He will be fine. At least he don't have to worry about getting hurt. LOL

Dog this dude aint Matt Cassell. Senior bowl? If he gets in invite. Im telling u his stock is dropping. Like ole Coach Odums said u shouldnt lose your position to injury. But guess what JT aint bout to give up the starting role.
