Ohio State's Cordell Jones is looking like a damn fool

And I posted 2 articles that say otherwise. I would have bet my paycheck he wouldn't went in the first round for 3 games. Especially when the RB was the one who carried the team on his back through the title. Poor Zeke is getting no credit. That was just rhetoric with him not having to work out for teams. And even Tebow after 4 years got drafted late in the first round. Cardale would have performed just like he is doing now at his workouts and thats when folks would have seen why JT Barrett was the starter in the first place. Cardale does not fit every offense in the NFL. So he automatically would have been off their board. What team outside the top 2 teams needed a QB? You think he was going before Winston and Marriota? The other teams that sucked already had their supposed QB of the future. Cleveland was already stuck with Manziel. Buffalo and NY Jets were stuck with their mistakes at drafting QBs. With Manuel and Geno. The Rams traded for Foles. So tell what team was going to draft him in the first round? Bengals, Steelers, Patriots, Green Bay, Cowboys, Giants, Minnesota, Seattle, Carolina etc all have QBs with big contracts. The Saints need a Brees replacement. But Cardale don't fit Sean Payton scheme. Philly's coach don't want a black QB. LOL. San Diego has Rivers. Denver needs Peyton Manning's replacement, But they haven't even thought to draft anyone high. Jacksonville drafted Bortles the year before. The Bears were stuck with Cutler's contract. The Niners had just signed Kap to his extension and this time last year they were happy with him.

So again I ask what NFL team outside Tampa and Tennessee who had no QB at all would have drafted a QB in the first round in 2015. Even the Redskins can't do anything until they get rid of RG3.

If he shows well at the combine this year. He has a better chance of moving up the board and he is eligible to play in the Senior Bowl which he wasn't last year. He will be fine.
Just because you are drafted in the 1st rd doesn't mean you have to play right away. You have a few teams in the league with QB's who will be done in a year or two and wouldn't mind having someone to groom to take over. An example would be what the Packers did with Aaron Rodgers when they had Favre still. Compared the end of last season to today, Jones has been more exposed. He would've been able to hide some of his weaknesses if he went pro this past draft.

Dog this dude aint Matt Cassell. Senior bowl? If he gets in invite. Im telling u his stock is dropping. Like ole Coach Odums said u shouldnt lose your position to injury. But guess what JT aint bout to give up the starting role.
Dude he will be in the SR Bowl. Come on, man.

But Aaron Rodgers had no weakness and Green Bay had an older QB. That's just goes to show how QBs were valued even in that draft. It was obvious either Alex Smith or Aaron Rodgers was going to slip if they didn't get drafted number 1. How can he hide his weakness when they have every QB guru including Gruden pick them cats apart during the process. He would have been exposed. I am telling you. It's already hard for a black QB anyway. So you know he was going to get scrutiny. I could hear the same fools saying he should have stayed in school as he dropped in the draft after encouraging him to come out. As an OSU alum, I am a big Cardale fan. But he did the right thing. Went back, got his paper over the summer I believe. It was important to him to do that. He hasn't played so terrible that he can't get drafted. Just without the big deep threat at WR this year for Ohio State. He has had to be more of a decision maker. That is not his strong suit. Dude will still make GOOD money in the NFL as a second day pick. And he will have a six figure job waiting on him back in Ohio when he is done. Dude is set either way. He is not going to be broke or not able to take care of his family. Yall act like the man is going to broke and penniless because he went back to school. All the experts are saying even if he goes from the 2nd round to the 4th round he still will get a nice salary and it will not be chump change. I still argue the point that NO team would have drafted dude in the first round. He wasn't in that kind of demand. It wasn't like Rodgers falling in the draft after being thought to be the number 1 guy. Remember people thought if Tenn passed on Mariota that he would fall to the Eagles. This draft is even weaker. The Cal Qb is the front runner and all Cardale has to do is go to the combine and NOW that he can be eligible to play in the Sr Bowl. He can wow the folks there and be a second day pick. Not that much talent at QB this season. Hell it may not be but one QB at the Heisman presentation this year. And that is probably the kid from TCU. All these RBs are dominating. Which is good news for Cardale.

Dude he will be in the SR Bowl. Come on, man.

LOL. They are not understanding J4L. They know damn well Cardale would have been scrutinized to the n'th degree had he declared last spring. All that first round talk was immediate MEDIA hype after the playoffs. Remember how folks were down on Mariota right after the Ohio State game and said he looked mortal against a team with NFL talent on defense. After he went to the combine and other stuff it quickly put folks at ease from that performance. Cardale would have done the opposite. They would have found out what all us Buckeye fans and alums knew. He has a canon arm. But he isn't a quick decision maker with the ball. And he is still developing as a leader. He would be a project for anybody who drafted him. Now he can go to the Sr Bowl and do all the things to convince the NFL he is worth a second day pick without just jumping in the draft with only 3 games on his resume. LOL.

He could've been a 2nd day pick last year. After Mariota and Winston, the other QB's in the draft didn't stick out. He will get a check playing football but it will not be as much it could've been if he decided to go pro in the last draft.

Report: Cardale Jones could have been top 10-15 draft pick

Here's another surprise: according to one NFL team executive, Jones could have been drafted as high as the top 10 or 15 picks.

"Maybe he would have gone in the second round," the executive told foxsports.com, "but I think it's just as likely (he) could have gone in the top 10 or 15. Look at that body, that arm -- and look at his competition (in the draft)."

One exec said that, yet no team took any QB outside the first 2. I like to see what Exec said that. Then the dude said maybe he would have gone in the second round. Make up your mind exec. The two teams who needed franchise QBs took them in the first round. All the others figured they could trade or wait another year to do so or don't need one. So when he gets drafted this year in the 2nd or 3rd round, will he still be a dumb azz? You going to go off ONE NFL exec running his mouth and speaking for only himself and not the other teams? You don't think Urban and his family did a little digging to see if he should come out if he was a sure fire 1st round pick. Who from pick 10 to 15 needed a QB. I will sit back and wait. There will be more team apt to take him this next draft as some QBs who got drafted as franchise QBs contracts are ending and some are big disappointments.

Why would a team draft him high now after seeing how he's obviously struggled and might not even be the best QB on his team?

He was not going in the first round dude. No NFL executive was going to do that. LOL. Yall are crazy. You don't do that after seeing a kid 3 games. Once he would have worked out for the scouts and NFL folks, they would see the same weakness he has shown over time and his STOCK would have dropped before the draft. Hell you saw how they dissected Winston and Marriota after seeing them for years. LOL.
U don't know that he wasn't going in the first round or the first day. He fell for Urban's silver tongue and its costing him.

Nope since he was the one who led them in the playoffs
You don't think JT could have won the championship if healthy? JT was undefeated as a starter and put up video game numbers in the process. Ezekiel Elliott is running for 200+ in 3 straight games made Cardale's job as QB much easier.

Nope, they were some plays were Jones size played a factor in him being successful against Bama. I think Bama would have been able to contain JT

Elliott AND JT? Bama game up damn near 300 yards rushing that game. JT would have been just as much of a problem for Bama.

Not taking anything away from JT but there were keys plays were Jones picked up a 1st down that JT would not have gotten. I also think Bama's DC Kirby Smart would've been more prepared to face JT since he would've had more tape on him compared to Jones who they only had one game to look at on him.

He had tape on Ezekiel Elliott from all season didn't he? LOL

But there was only 1 run where Jones' size played a factor and he was past the 1st down marker when he ran over the Bama defender.

They knew he wasn't the best QB on his team last year. And the offense that Urban runs is suited for JT more than Cordale. He also was a Tressel recruit and not a Urban recruit. He was perfect for that old system. The NFL folks ain't dumb. They also know he lost his OC in Tom Herman to U of H whom is tearing it up as a first year coach there. He may be one and done at U of H already if a big program knocks. The other thing, he can play in the Sr bowl this year and get evaluated for the week. It is on him now. Just like it would have been on him last year had he come out. They were not just going to draft him on 3 games. They would have put him through the paces and it would have been found out what folks knew. He is a long term project for any team. Just not enough reps as a starter in a PRO style offense.

I see now. You don't like Urban Meyer. Urban didn't need Jones to stay. LOL. If anyone fell for staying was Braxton Miller who could have transferred. Cardale immediately said he wanted to be the first person to graduate in his family and he was coming back. He knew the deal. Hell he knew Braxton was coming back and was a better QB than him. So he rolled the dice because he KNEW he wasn't ready for the NFL scrutiny before the draft. Most teams did not need a QB and even in those 3 games he didn't exactly show the world he was a game changer. He just took what the defenses gave him. His ARM is his best asset.

Again, he will be taken care of. He will never have to buy isht in Columbus Ohio again. LOL.

They look after each other. That's one thing I really noticed while there. I recall my supervisor, OSU alum, telling me when I was finalizing my grad school (accept to Purdue, Oh St, Michigan) that I needed to make the "right choice." lol

Exactly P. Cardale is a hero in the state of O-H-I-O. Now that he has his paper. He will get a made up 100K job just because of who he is. LOL. He will be able to walk into any bank and get a loan in Ohio. He will be able to have his kids go to Ohio State for free. Well he has a daughter now. So her college just got paid for when the clock struck all zeroes against Oregon. LOL. Mama Jones probably will mysteriously get a brand new home AFTER his eligibility is up even if he don't get drafted. You know the deal P. I saw how Ohio State took care of their legendary athletes. Heck they look after their own grads. I have had some interesting JOB discussions with fellow OSU alums in positions to hire. Just how them mofos are.

That unwavering loyalty is real.

Wouldn't folks have known that already considering he was behind Barrett before he got injured?
No they wouldn't have. He got benched this season instead of coming off the bench last year and winning the National Championship. Huge difference. This year has really kilt his draft status. He was on top of the world last year and now he on the bench. He may never start again at OSU. Crazy thing is they are Undefeated and Meyer pulls him cause of Redzone inefficiency. Not Loses. Thats Wild within itself.

Urban GOTEMMMMM!!!!!
