JaguarPark

Buildings?

The second phase will commence after the completion of the football and soccer seasons in January and will mostly involve the building of the physical structures, including a fieldhouse, concession stand and bleachers for the soccer program, and an equipment storage facility and observation tower for football. The expected completion date is sometime next summer.

What a Great addition to our Athletics Department... This will be aesthetically appealing and a selling point for future athletes.

Congrats to my Dear Alma Mater...

I was in Baton Rouge this past Friday (my daughter was one of the 665----TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!:)) and saw the construction and digging taking place. My daughter was telling us about the upcoming Jaguar Park.

Good stuff SU! I like how all of the Jag sports will all be in one central common area. Great planning!

Congrats Lioness. I know you are proud. A sincere welcome to the new SU Alumna!

One has to.think if SU can get out of this NCAA mess, which I.hope will be this summer or no later then fall, and continue to improve upon the facilities, the sky will be the limit.

Its not just SU, LSU field does not look.all that great, honestly I think they both should do.artificial turf..

Only Southern Lab
Soccer, and Odums practiced on it last season sometimes. The life of the field was 5-7 years. SU got that field in 03. As stated earlier, when the did the northendzone, some Allgae got in the field thru the drainage pipes.

Why did Odums practice on the field? Isn't the practice field outside of the stadium????
No lights on the practice field, a lot of players had class conflicts, so in order to have the entire team at practice he moved practice at night. Plus SU ordered some sand for the practice field last season and it was full of rocks. So it took awhile for them to correct that problem.
