Speaking of feminine, some say Haymer fits the bill, but that's his business. LOL!
As far as men being feminine, at JSU we don't look under the capes of other men. Hint, hint.

I do recall su male members looking under the capes of other males. Where are those photos when you need 'em?

Give it up Jax! There are larger HBCU bands who have awesome sounds and bigger budgets than Southern, they really have left Southern in the dust!

Really. Too bad they don't get the invites and accolades that SU has the last several years. And how do you know what SUs band budget is? Lol. I will bet you money we have the best alumni band association out there. Yall done bumped your damn heads if you think bands have passed SU up. Dude we still setting trends. We are SU and the rest are still wanting to be where the Jukebox is. Let me know the next time a company like Yamaha sponsors a HBCU band. Carry on. Man folks act like they can come on here and post any damn thing. Bigger budgets. Comical. Most HBCUS are barely meeting their athletic budgets and you in here bragging on band budgets. If your alums ain't going to help your band program, then you are playing with dynamite thinking the schools can fund these big bands. Oh well.

Ditto! They finally hired a real arranger to compete! The only people giving them praise are Southern grads.

I have to agree with you on this. SU Alumni does give back big time. Many of our alumni from various schools do give back but from the events and fundraisers I've witnessed myself for SU, they give back in record numbers. If we all gave back to our fellow programs, we all could do so much more.

Jackson State has finally decided to up their game in arrangements.(still far from great) As far as the actual band, they have always been decent. All they did was increase the size of the band so they can be louder than everyone. When you are pushing well over 250+ members, I would hope that you have some volume. The backbone of JSUs band are their trombones. I can't hate their trombones are always pushing. Now the rest of the band .............................

now whats your excuse for Talledega blowing yall the f out since now you want to speak on volume!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember when horns were the backbone of SU band shit ended when JSU horns came up in 2011 and now NO MATCH!
