SWAC and MEAC announcement this afternoon "Celebration Bowl" cont'd

Let me get this straight. Bowl games that average far less in attendance than our conference championship game qualify as being well attended? Keep on moving those goal posts...

A FCS conference with a championship game that has a higher attendance than most of those bowl games AND all of the non-power 5 FBS conference championships and even the Pac-12 title game in 2012 (and more butts in the seats than 2014's game).

As many have said on here before, we have a unique product that people will pay to see in person (football games and band events) that the other non-HBCU FCS conferences and bottom tier FBS schools can't offer.

Folk, please miss with the attendance doesn't play a part, who wants to keep investing into a product when the product isn't being attended..come on now yall..yall trying to save face now, with this "oh attendance don't matter" BS. That's business 101, if something isn't attended, ppl won't invest into it...smh. This the VP of Samsung talking now to the board of investors ---->."oh no it don't have to have any ppl there" but we will continue to put money behind it hoping one day, just one day, we will get 10k ppl in the stands..LOLOL..man yall get off the boo boo fo real

I couldn't care less about what former what said...They again don't understand what needs to be done as A WHOLE, this won't work in Year 7, I kept saying..yall looking at 'short term' crap..a lot of black ppl don't look at sh`t pass 2-3 years with anything..they are so caught up with the now and don't understand how to make stuff work on "auto-pilot"

When you have a Celebration Bowl on the right platform, that game should draw 50 plus every year, no excuses...
So are you saying that the person that worked for Espn and was over the game don't know what she Is talking about?

This should be a simple a question...an ineligible team should not even be allowed to play in the championship game because the championship itself is a post season game. Duer Sharpe is a byach...so there is the answer to the question.

Will some of you EVER let that go? Duet Sharpe isn't doing NOTHING THAT YOUR PRESIDENTS AREN'T APPROVING OF. End of story.

Having said that, these are the rules as they apply to probation.

Yes it is considered a post season game, but that doesn't necessarily means a team will be ineligible to play.

Read. http://www.hbcusports.com/forums/th...athletics-it-sure-seems-cheating-pays.121531/
They should not be allowed to play in the SCG either.

Bruh come on, you're acting like them other folks.

You know good and darn well Duer Sharp does exactly what the presidents ask him to do.

Why can't we just support something that features US and allows US to be on the national stage without always sitting back bitching without a better plan? If this goes through, now we have (MEAC/SWAC Challenge, Bayou Classic, SWAC Championship, and The Celebration Bowl) ALL ON NATIONAL TV, along with the weekly ESPNU games. This means that HBCU Sports now more than ever is getting exposure to more people. Continue building your brand and SUPPORTING things that pour back into our institutions instead of being sidetracked with nonproductive arguments that don't advance the conferences.

I guess they want to go back to BET and their piss poor production of Black College Football. (Oh, by the way is own by Viacom)

No, the point 99 was making is that the New Mexico Bowl is owned by ESPN. You say we are missing the point, when it is you who are missing the point. ESPN is about creating content for its network of channels. You just mentioned the "unknown teams" at the games that nobody cares about (except for the people who are there to support the teams participating) but ESPN knows people still watch football and are willing to watch those "unknown teams" on TV. Advertisers are not going to pay a ton of money just for 25K people at a game, but they will pay quite a bit to have their products seen before a national audience.
Will ESPN own this bowl too? Just a question. Don't want you to cyber attack me like you did BIGHEAD.

Yep BH123, the gift that keeps on giving. He has the solutions to all our woes

Of course....set your ass up a trading account and buy shares in companies such as Viacom, Inc.

BTW, public companies like Viacom are owned by the Shareholders. BET is a subsidiary of Viacom. Viacom is the Parent Company. Own stock in Viacom, you own stock in BET. Obviously if some of the so-called "Elite Blacks" can get a television show shut down they can surely buy and own shares.

Uum.... But they haven't and they don't. So that makes your statement about any all black control bowl stupid.
