2 Call/hit up yo boys to confirm the room..That Wednesday night before Turkey day.. "mayne yall got the room, yea we got ours, we on Canal"

2. Man bro, I'm leaving at 11:00 a.m. Friday..tell Terrance and em to be ready, I'm trying to be down there no later than 12... Check in at 12 mayne....yall be ready..traffic go be crazy...I'ma pulling out...yall be ready

3. (That Friday before departure..Ya patna wit the camera gotta stop at wal-mart to pick up extra batteries for his camera or some shat Lmao) this was befo phones....had to go the liquor store off Plank Rd and get the liquor..only store that would sale liquor to under-age cats with no f's given LMAO...again delaying the departure time to be on I-10

4. After finally doing all that crap..nga don't hit I-10 until 11:43a.m (nga be mad as hell thinking we missing something) Lmao... well we are that's when everybody is checking in at 12..that lobby be full of bad women at check in time..

5. Heading down I-10 and it's raining cats and dogs Lmao...nga in the backseat like "mayne it's go clear up tonight", "man I'm getting tore up soon as I hit the room" Lmao

mayne you can't move this game...This is like the pamplet/guide for every dude that attended SU from 90-2003 ish...I bet 100 dollars one of their Bayou Classic trips went this way or close to it LMAOOOO....I have tears

mayne you can't move this game..I willinging to bet ngas still follow this format lol...it's the whole thing around the Classic is what makes the Classic the classic..it's not just a game and it's an experience...lol...my SU cats can attest to this...the game...wha...mayne I"m trying to make sure I"m down there Friday at 12 for check-in to see who's in my hotel LMAO...

shid..try and talk about moving this game back when I was on that yard..Lol..man I know ppl who took 12 hours...held on too 3hrs just so that can say that go to SU and be at the classic Lmao...it's alot of "elements" that surround this game..

BH, You can't even persuade your fellow alums to allow you in the War Room forum less than restructuring classic dates. However, if you're so adamant about changing game dates, I suggest you meet with your president and persuade him to endorse and execute your line of thinking. If he doesn't endorse your vision, threaten him with a demonstration and movement on Alcorn's campus that hasn't been seen in American since Alex Haley was a student at Alcorn and follow through. Get your people together and "Turn that Mother Out!" Let him know by no uncertain terms, "you came to party (of course with a purpose)", Ball your little black fist up and bang on his desk while emphatically shouting "without vision, the people will perish!" Presidents like demonstrative clichés and quotes. When leaving out of his office, turn around and point your finger at him, look him square in the eyes and tell him "there is a balm in Gilead indeed." Make sure you end every sentence with "jack" to make him understand that you can identify with his generation.

SU should have did that when a home game got moved to Jackson, MS. BTW, Brown did publish an article a few months about " breaking tradition".

Alcorn Coaches publicly wanted the Soul Bowl back in Lorman. It took a few years, but what happened?

BH, I am telling you that whining in a sports forum will not get you the desired results. You have got to turn your president as well as War Room alums into your spokesperson, puppet and doting flunky. You might have to rough up a few people in the War Room and in Alcorn's administration to get what you want. My suggestions is build a coalition and get an ace boon c**n to walk with you in these endeavors.

You say you don't post "just to be posting" but you do. Case and point, your words in bold. A decline in attendance doesn't necessarily mean the Classic is withering away.

The BC still generates revenue for New Orleans. If there is a
Decline in revenue generated for the city, then that would be a different story.

We don't have to threaten the SWAC. All your Presidents and Chancellors all are in it together. Hell most of them be sitting in New Orleans in the Suites partying it up with the Gram and SU Presidents and Chancellor. Don't let them fool you. I have witnessed it with my own eyes. LOL. So who is going to move the BC? You think your President has the balls to tell Gram and SU Presidents they better move that game? You think YOUR President can get the rest of the SWAC Presidents to try to force that change? In the meantime, who is going to get the Bama State Prez to change their game off Turkey Day.

You dumb arses don't even consider that there are 3 SWAC TEAMS who play the week of Thanksgiving. All you dumb mofos do is focus on the BC without saying isht about the TDC. Even if the BC moved. The TDC is still going to happen. Then what genius? Does that ensure the SWAC not have a SCG?

You got three things to get done to get an auto bid to the playoffs.

1. SCG has to be cancelled which means the SWAC Champion is crowned on season results
2. The TDC on Thanksgiving Day involving Bama State would have to be changed to another date/cancelled
3. The BC matchup would have to move to another weekend before Thanksgiving

Like I said, good luck with all that. Southern and Grambling had nothing to do with the SCG being created and we don't control the TDC. So stop worrying about the BC moving or not. It aint on us. Go talk to your President and tell him to go raise hell with the other SWAC Presidents. Call TxSU President Rudley and tell him to bring it up, since he is the Chairman of the Council of Presidents, Go Tell Duer Sharp you want this. That's where you need to start. Be sure to tell them how you expect to replace the revenue while you at it. LOL.

first off students will just be entering school....so students wont be trying to book nothing..they have other stuff they trying to or have to get...

2nd ppl really don't visit like talkin bout to N.O. on Labor Day..(SU fans)...they rather take trips elsewhere....

3rd..it'll be hot as shat...it's too hot

4th...again tradition thing after Turkey day, you have folks who like to come down to the city then...kids are out of school...so they prefer that date...

Bottom line lil brother, moving this game to be SU 1st game..will be a bad bad idea...it will definitely take away the build up for this game....

Off the subject question but when did making statements on your school or any situation that you dont agree with become WHINING? I mean its obvious that this is a sports discussion board...

And the go to your school president statement or what have you done for your school question is pretty dumb IMO (who are you to deserve that answer (:lol:). Some people have alot of clout with their school and alumni association so you never know!

As far as this discussion goes this is a :deadhorse: The majority of SWAC presidents and ADs have no problem with being segregated from the rest of the FCS world.....In terms of football fans we are in the MINORITY some of us dont mind competition and want to be the best in our division of football, the majority of SWAC HBCU fans only care about the party and band aspect of HBCU football..sad but thats HBCU sports for ya....
 
Not saying that they are...but the build up for those two games are about even....

It's like their bayou classic...so imagine moving those games around dude...but hey IDK
