Good Job Dr. Broussard

Nobody's hating. These other AD's are busy working their butts off and their athletic programs are thriving along with APR numbers. You can't tell me that it's a success when your entire athletic program is virtually the doormat of an already weak conference.
Call it hating if you wanna, but I call it reality. That's life. Take the good comments with the not so good ones and move on.

In two years perhaps he can really be congratulated once there's a chance to see his entire body of work over a period of more than just a few months.

Nobody's hating?? Really?

I'll take the high road....for now.:snicker:

Well, since you opened the door, I'll bite.
Let's look at the current facts. The author claims that Broussard has been a success but look where su sports finished in the commissioners cup. In LAST place in the West on the men's side. If not for the women in tennis....which has a coach he didn't hire, their sports program is struggling mightily.

It's quite obvious this author doesn't know what the heck he's talking about and hasn't done his homework.
The football coached finished 4-7 yet the author considers that a success?! COME ON MAN!!

If anything, I'd give PV's AD or Valley's AD more credit than Broussard. The author really goofed up on this one.

So finishing number 10 out ten teams on the men's side is a good job?

It's sad when you believe your own lies, empty rhetoric and mindless drivel in an attempt to pass it as truth, reality and logic. FOH and Go home! :smh:

i think the reason that dr broussard is on this list is the fact that he is doing something that lefure could not do and that is unify the fanbase and have us excited about s.u. athletics. the athletic department was in a sad state when lefure left. the guy was not acessable, made the dumbest decisions (home games in jackson,ms) and the athletic department operated in the red every year that he was a.d. Dr broussard comes in all of a sudden the athletic program has not operated in the red for the past 2 years.

Lafleur was very accessible. Anyone could have found him in Houston helping out some unwanted soul walking the streets of Houston.

Oh no sir the Howard athletic department is still in shambles and those people remind me of some of the PVAMU folks, they don't know WTF they are doing. :|

Highly unprofessional, highly unprofessional, highly unprofessional... did I mention highly unprofessional? :smh:

That is why I said he has some obstacles. But I think the new AD is TRYING to change some things there.

That's cause ya'll ain't had to try to make him do something yet, like fire Big Worm.. When that happens, he gonna be on ya'll schitt list!

Dude you are a hater. Maybe some of those other ADs walked into a good situation and are on auto pilot. Ohio State's AD job is not that hard. LOL. Even though Gene Smith is a good guy. He does stuff other than hire coaches. That's what you dumb dumbs don't understand. Broussard is doing more than trying to right the ship on the field. He is raising money. He is approaching the AD job differently than the status quo. That is no knock on other ADs. But just because you can win more with less don't automatically make you great. What are doing to increase the less? Like I said, the sports we do have are improving under his leadership. Folks are impressed with him because he don't just sit in his damn office counting wins. LOL.

Ya'll excited because he fired Stump w a coach worse than Stump and you had a good year in men's bball.

No again, this has nothing to do with his coaching hires and fires. You guys are dense as hell. Sheesh. Ask your AD what she thinks of Broussard. LOL.

First of all, he got Big Worm by the balls already. He has a 2 year contract. It will not be hard for Broussard to fire Big Worm at all. So basically Worm has this season and next season to prove himself at a manageable salary. Smart move on Broussard's part.

He gave her a shout out so we already know what he thinks of her. And nobody cares about what our AD thinks. I know I don't. She only supervises APR. Other people run the dept.

That means nothing. when he extends the contract, ya'll gonna be pissed!

Panther, its seems that you're anti-PV no matter what. Your school's about to win the commish cup mean that each of it's sports programs is average or above. Give your own school a bit of credit every NOW and then.:emlaugh:

JayRob, Real Talk for a minute. Do you know what PV's OOC record is vs other texas D-I schools in all sports? Even texas D-II schools? I'll enlighten. PV has a winning % of a whopping 2-3% every single year against the texas D-I/D-II schools in all sports. THAT is why I ride PV so hard. aTm-Corpus Christi shouldn't come to PV and whoop its ass in all sports the way it does (excepting ladies basketball :smh: )

By probably winning the SWAC commish cup for a 2nd year, it sends a very false signal that everything is right w/ PV athletics. No, it isn't right when you're losing @ a clip of > 97-98% of the time across the board in ALL sports vs your state's other D-I and D-II schools. IC, okay, PV does decent across the board. OOC? Just manhandled left and right.

I sport HBU because of younger kinfolk attending. What I find funny was just a few short weeks ago, HBU came to PV's campus and pile drove them in baseball to the tune of 14-4 (? I think) and I do believe their softball team beat the dog hell out of PV's as well. Looks like HBU is also taking the approach that other D-I univs in texas has towards PV: beat them unmercifully @ at will. There'll be a plethora of excuses in 5...4...3...2... saying stupidity like "we win w/ what lil' bit we have" "we win w/ the facilities we have" "we do okay..." "we do alright..."

That means nothing. when he extends the contract, ya'll gonna be pissed!

He can't do that. So we ain't worried about that. If Worm is winning he will get an extension. If he is not, the Board will not approve any extension. You can take that to the bank. We know how politics work at SU.

Come on JR. Stump did the same thing when he was hired. He went on this public tour, asked for funds, asked for fan support, attempted to garner more business involvement in the community and what happened after three years? You fired the guy.

It's good that Broussard has gotten off to a decent start as AD. It really wasn't that hard to do after Lefleur left. Any AD would've been appreciated after his debacles at su.

Let's wait until the man really does something over a period of time before we crown him, Broussard "king of all SWAC AD's". That's all I'm saying.
When he does get the athletic program right over a period of time, THEN give him his accoloades and props and not a moment before.

It was always said by S.U. insiders that Stump was better suited to be an AD...........His strength wasn't coaching. :emlaugh: But make no mistake he had other strong points.

Stump did do well with people. And I think he would be a helluva AD. But he wasn't. Nobody crowned Broussard king of the SWAC. But folks outside of the conference are taking notice of what he is doing and how he is doing it. Don't know why you are trying to diminish his accolades he is getting. This helps the SWAC visibility with positive press about any of our ADs. Dude is putting in work and he is doing it in a way that folks both black and white are taking notice. If he was getting bad press you wouldn't be saying anything but yall hired the wrong dude at SU. LOL. So when he gets good press you still have something negative to say. SU folks didn't write the articles that have been coming out about Broussard. Other folks did. You need to take it up with them. He was recently voted as one the up and coming young professionals in the State. BTW, the white folks said that. Not us.

yeah, just how ya'll couldn't fire Stump. See the first year when dude lose, it's gonna be, "he still trying to improve from what Stump left". Then in the second year, it's gonna be "He just getting HIS players in place". Then he gonna get the extension. We have SEEN SU myopia for years. We all know where this is going.

Yep, Stump is a good guy who I think is more suited for the AD role than a coaching role. And you have to give it to him. Unlike Broussard, Stump was not a popular hire and he had to deal with a lot of detractors including his former boss that hired him. But he never ran from the Jag Nation or try to blame folks for him not winning like he said he would. He still got out there and supported SU even after getting fired. Can't have nothing but respect for ole Stump. That's why it was easy for him to get a NFL job again with no delay. Folks know he is a good dude.

No you have not. Stump got fired in his last year of his contract. So he was going to be gone anyway. You act like we gave Stump an extension. LOL. Big Worm has 15-16 starters returning and he has been their head coach since the 3rd game or so. So this is his team in one aspect. He will be expected to win just like every SU head football coach. SU does not allow football coaches to linger too long if they don't win right pretty soon. Pete won right away and kept winning earning him his longevity. Everyone else has been fired with the quickness. Hell we fired Gerald Kimble after kicking yall's arse in 91 and winning the BC the first year it was on NBC. SU damn near fired the man before the game was over. Actually they had. LOL.

Worm is going to get his FULL 2 years. He will have to earn that extension. Trust me on that. The Board ain't going to approve no extension if he ain't winning. The pressure is really on seeing how Banks is winning at Basketball. So Worm got to do his thing or else. You need to be thinking about what yall are going to do with Comegy if he don't bring home a title this year.

JayRob is right

You co-signing makes it worse for JayRob. Again, you guys are just fans. Nobody cares about your opinions. The folks who are giving Broussard credit have a forum to do so. Take it up with them. Are you mad because he is getting positive pub? Like I said, folks are impressed with him. I don't think TP and Jayrob matter to those folks at all. LOL.
