He was the best candidate as far as the committee and the AD was concerned. They did their evaluation and that is what they were convinced by. I am sure Jenkins wasn't the best or biggest name candidate ON PAPER that BCU had when they fired Shine. But it has worked out for them. Big Worm had an impressive presentation of what he wanted to do and where he wanted to take the program. Folks backed Big Worm and hence he is the head coach. Now he has to win on the field after gaining the confidence of not only the folks who hired him but a lot of the high profile SU alums who actually give money are on board with him.

I saw this thread when it was posted and just couldnt understand why in the world yall are making it rain on Broussard. Maybe he will do something in the future but this undue praise is really silly. I know its not your fault, but I would back off this nonsense if I were you.

So according to this article, Broussard is doing well cause he is on social media and he hired Odums. Those are two things a 16 year old could have done. I told you when the hiring process started that Broussard was making a big mistake and Im not even an AD....but I know a little about hiring people and Im a good Spades player. One thing you dont do is Spades is let the other guy know whats in your hand. The second thing you dont do is let the other guys know what you are thinking. He did both on those in the beginning of the search. They both backfired on him and he ended up settling for Odums.

I dont get it...you have REAL ADs in this conference BATTLING, yet this cat who had done NOTHING gets recognition for hiring a coach and being on social media. This was a lazy ass article.

Heres another thing Im right about and you and TP are going to be wrong about....you ready?

The best Odum is going to do this year is go 6-6. The year after that will be a losing season. You will end up with Eric Dooley as your head coach. You shoulda hired Dooley this year if your AD wasnt so busy updating Facebook..."Im at McDonalds." Im sure he would have taken the job for 150K. You would have improved your coaching staff and weakened PB. You would have at least been somewhat on their level this year. Oh well, its going to be back to the drawing board for your AD. It must be nice to be lightskinneded...you get accolades for doing nothing. Congrats.
