They ain't pimp nothing. They were slow paying. I can guarantee SU made more than what JSU will get lol.

I don't think so. Like I said before, this is not the same old Tulane. McNeese and SLU seem to happy with the money they have received from Tulane in the past 3 years. We shall see.

SLU has no fan base at all, so they are happy getting what they get. If I remember correctly they paid SLU $75,000 and McNeese $110,000. I think they gave FAMU $20,000 :smh: . FAMU AD negotiated a split after 40,000 fans and way less than 20,000 showed up. SU shouldn't play Tulane for less than $275,000.

Dude, SLU has like 1,000 fans on a good day, they would be happy with peanuts. And McNeese isn't that much better. lol

Again all I will say on this is if the game should come to pass, I hope J-State kicks that AZZ....and I hope they put an extra 3 TDs on that azz for just in case the money is slow in payment....

How can you guarantee that? We've had past offers from Miami, Oregon State, Southern Miss, and Eastern Michigan, but JSU turned them down for offering less than $300k. Who knows what Tulane is offering...could be more or less. Just leave it at that.

Dude, we are playing U of H. U of H is > than playing Tulane. Folks are just telling you that you have no clue about what you are posting. SU folks rather play ULL again than Tulane. Another program that is better than Tulane.
 
Some of ya'll are just outright ignorant. Whatever SU got paid in 2001 was ten years ago. We don't even know if the Tulane-JSU game is going to happen. The only thing TP cares about is that JSU makes some money. I thought Braddy was kinda stupid for turning down paydays. Of course, you don't want to get pimped but basic math says that accepting a $200K payday is better than a $0K dollar payday. And if we do schedule Tulane, I just hope our AD does not follow that up by playing Concordia.

..and one more thing, I'm sure JSU ain't ask Tulane how much they paid SU. If it's two SWAC schools JSU does not want to be like it's SU and AlaState.
 
..and one more thing. Tulane does not have any money. They may have academic money and some alums with deep pockets but they don't have a whole lot of them who are going to empty their pockets for football. That money is going to academics and I am pretty sure it can't be used for athletics. If JSU was craving a payday, I am sure we would have looked to a school with that kind of money. But a game in New Orleans is perfect for JSU and for JSU fans. If we can go to New Orleans to open the season, then get a home game, then Memphis, that will be easy on the pocket of JSU fans.
