We understand what you are saying and I guess that could happen BUT Comegy would be too afraid to do it. :lol: We are some fools in Jackson.

Also, I stand corrected. Comegy has two years left on his contract with a VERY low buy-out and some hefty stipulations. Basically, he can be fired at ANY time. He back was against the wall when he signed that contract and he knows he has little job security with it.
 
I, for one, would hate to see Comegy go. I think we have a good immediate future with him. I think he is better than any candidate you have to choose from.

Too late for that dude. Comegy may as well load up the UHaul. Ain't nobody affiliated with JSU gonna be happy with Comegy. He was treading on thin ice before this. And now he has openly applied for a lateral move. He better hopes FAMU hires him.

He was smart to withdraw his name. :lol: but I don't even know what this was all about even tho he has a schitty contract at JSU. He has JSU in a good position to win next year while FAMU sucks. I can't him wanting to start over. He is too old for that.

That's what I thinking. Unless he just wanted to live in Florida with no state income tax. He may have just wanted the money TP.
I just think the way he did it will cost him some good will in Jacktown. He definitely has to do something at JSU next season. No title and he is out on the street. If yall don't get rid of him before that. LOL.

I was hoping he would be selected but oh well. Guess ill have to put up Comegy football for one more season.

If Comegy wins out in a dominating fashion the Jackson fickle fans will b fine...we are in no position to fire a winning coach with the administration we have.

LOL @ thick skin. You guys will be okay next season. One thing for sure, Comegy will have you in the mix. Now I do believe he is out at the end of his contract. Just think the JSU faithful will look to head in another direction unless Rick kicks all the rest of us to sleep and win the SWAC. Which is possible. Then it will get really interesting. You know he is going to go all out in his last year of a contract.

I take it you have no faith in the administration to hire someone better than Comegy. Now what I do see happening at all our schools. I do not think we will be breaking the bank for these coaches anymore. These ADs and Presidents are buddies and talk. I would like to see everyone get a nice good young coach and let them work. Comegy is the last of the mohicans now that folks like Joe Taylor done retired. Not too many older coaches out there. Pough at SC State and Broadway at A&T. Slater at TU. The youth movement will have to start sooner than later.

We have some of the best young talent in BCF. Joe Taylor sucked. He withdrew his name because he was notified he wasn't getting an interview.
 



You of all people asking for proof? It is obvious to anyone watching the process who has knowledge of how these things play out.

I agree that Joe Taylor is not a good coach. He never was. I don't follow FAMU football enough to know of what kind of talent you have.

You are about to get a bad coach no matter who you choose. If they were not gonna interview Comegy, which is contrary to what your athletic dept told our beat writer, then that shows you have some idiots running that show in Tally-ho. Comegy is leaps and bounds better than your finalists.

I would rather take my chances with Earl, a good staff and potential than with an old horse who has played his best hand. If he was that good, he would not have signed a contract with a low buyout. Coaches with market value don't do that. Y'all settling and so is he. Talk that mess to someone without business sense.
