LSU Denies Southern Request to meet with Tyrann Mathieu?!?

LSU is not contacting the kid to ask him where he wants to go to school each time a release comes in. They control where he can go and want to manipulate the situation.

They'll let someone who ain't worth a dollar to them leave but their prized possession? Not so much.

It's actually bigger than LSU's. Also has a indoor 40 yard track. I never said it was better than LSU's where y'all get that from.

Still aint nothing compared to LSU. That campus looks country. Saw it this year. Nothing is impressive about their facilities. Absolutely nothing. Especially compared to LSU. McNeese facilities aint even the best in their own conference. He would be better off at Sam Houston State.

I'm still trying to figure out how they can stop him from walking onto a campus.

Im amazed at how yall spend half the time riding LSU's jock, the other half calling them the evil empire.

Also, Lake Charles is nothing like Baton Rouge. Even though Lake Charles has about 75,000 residents, it is a very labor intense area with not much modernization. ULL attracts a lot of students because Lafayette is probably the most modernized city in Louisiana. College students love the Lafayette area.

Us older SU alums have no love for LSU. Now I do root for them to beat the crap out of Ole Piss. Lol

for me personally, I have no problem with LSU...just don't look for me to support them in any way if I can help it....I aint mad at someone or something who knows how to conduct business no matter how I feel about their tactics. If they have figured out a way to hoodwink and persuade a certain group to neglect their own to turn and support their cause then more power to them. That's what business is. It aint their fault that they found a market of weak minded, non-united people who they can take advantage of. Hell this country was built on a certain group taking advantage of other groups...first they took advantage of one group to get the land and then another group to keep it up, all the while profiting off their labor. Aint nothing changed. They still taking advantage of ill-informed folk and profiting off their labor. It aint their fault. So I got nothing against them, just don't look for me to put in on it.

I never pull for any PWC...that's just me...Now if LSU were playing Ole Miss or Miss. State, I'd rather see LSU win...on the other hand if LSU were playing J-State, Valley, or Alcorn.....Hell I'm PULLING, ROOTING, and as you put it riding the Jocks of JSU, Valley, and/or Alcorn.

If University of Alabama were playing the University of Florida, well I could care less who wins....hell what's the damn difference...both are just, in principle, the LSU of their respective states....

In short I'd ride the Jocks of an HBCU, but to hell with any PWC....that may be kinda broad, but it is close to accurate....for me....

WOW!!!!

And it's pretty accurate for me, too! It may not be what a lot of folks want/like to hear, but it's definitely the truth.

The problem with the article is that you can have a very low number of students and have a high graduation rate from a school that specialize in recruiting honor students. Therefore you have a skewed perception. For example, Harvard has 7100 students. If blacks make up 5% of there student body (355 students) which I'm sure is in the neighborhood what does the article really prove?

I could give two flips about LSU the school. However, I will always watch and root for their football team which is loaded with blue chip Louisiana black athletes. You will never catch me pulling against a black athlete from the river parishes, Orleans etc. just because they made a choice to go to LSU. I think it is difficult for some people to distinguish loyalty. Now am I going to buy and where LSU paraphernalia? Probably not! :emlaugh:

I heard there's a SU grad going around slapping Black folks for wearing LSU stuff.

Yea, In a moment of weakness, I thought about buying an Lsu baseball cap like my fellow T.T. Alain alums but changed my mind when I heard about the serial ambush-er.

I agree JRock... I have many family members that are graduates and/or a few current LSU students... So I DO support them... One being my younger cousin Tharold Simon...

I have family members that have graduated form LSU as well as friends and children of friends that have played football there also. Of course I am going to pull for them (unless they are playing an HBCU which is never so far in football). If you ever catch me pulling for someone out of the state against players from Lake Charles, Shreveport, BR, N.0., Alex, Laf. etc. I'm probably sleeping and having a bad dream so please wake me the hell up! :emlaugh:

I never said SU graduates can't succeed or anything near that. Stop the projecting and insecurity. I will say the SU graduates that I know who are successful would've been successful regardless of where they went to school and you can say the same of any successful people.

Furthermore, yes, there are SU graduates all over the country, to compare it to the number of LSU graduates across the country regarding a national brand is silly. And, SU having more national influence than LSU? Ok...

Til this day, I know Grambling has more NFL Hall of Famers than LSU. My dad and grandfather both played for Grambling, so you aren't telling me anything I don't know. But, with that said, those days of SWAC schools producing perennial all-pros and hall of famers are over. And, in the future I don't see this LSU football train slowing down. So, while the past may give some a measure of pride and it should, build upon where you presently are and be the best FCS school you can be.

For a school LSU's size and your three top alumni are James Carville, Shaquille O'Neal and VP Hubert Humphrey...??? That's laughable homie. This proves the theory, attending LSU is only good for someone who plans to live and DIE in Louisiana.

And speaking of insecurity, why is LSU the only school in the country that seems to feed this "flagship" status down people's throats? You don't get that in Texas or Mississippi. Heck Penn State runs Pennsylvania but you don't hear PSU people screaming "but we're the flagship!" Same with Rutgers in Jersey.

Now, as far as sports, I'll give LSU's recent accomplishments in football as well as your track and baseball teams some credit. But when it comes to major colleges, LSU is nowhere close to being a national household name like the real big boys i.e. Penn State, Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, UCLA, USC and the like. If you think you are keep dreaming.

But I'm glad looking down on little ole SU makes you (Louisiana) Blacks at LSU feel better about yourselves ... it only makes SU stronger. Proceed.

Hell, they can't even claim Hubert Humphrey. Dude is a U of Minnesota grad and a native of Minnesota. He got a Masters from LSU while he was working for some La politician as a young guy coming up the ranks. But it aint like he bled Purple and Gold. LOL.

And you are right. LSU is not a household name like talking about. Before Saban showed up. They were almost as bad as Ole Piss and Ms State. LOL. Academically they will never be considered a top tier PWC by the masses.

Homie, you said SU is more of a national brand than LSU. You brought up some stuff you know is a falsehood. Now, you want to compare LSU to more prestigious universities...that's fine. I see what you're doing. When you can't back up your facts with much of anything you want to throw out some lame insults which don't carry much weight. Like I said once before and I'll say again, LSU isn't competing with SU for athletes. Furthermore, I don't look down at SU. Why do you feel I do? Insecurity maybe? Like I said, LSU and SU are two different entities that aren't comparable. So, why compare them? Have a great life.

Let's re-read my statement. Where did I present falsehood?

Y'all "done" made Kamala out of a demon? Now some of you guys no damn well some of that stuff he is saying is true. :emlaugh: (I don't know where you all got he was "looking down" on S.U....some of that shat is true) :emlaugh:

Some of the white boys from metro New Orleans go to ULL to get in touch with their Cajun roots. I'm like WTF? :emlaugh:
