Plus Boise did their move when it was a good time. They have had many years to get to where they are now. Moving up now means a whole lot more money and different strategy approach than it did for them when they did it. I think if they were still FCS they would be like Montana and Villanova and say no too.
Very true, look at a school like Marshall, which was one of the dominant FCS/I-AA schools in the early 90s. I think they played for the title 5 times in 6 years, winning twice. They moved up around the same tame as Boise State with no real plan other than 'we dominated I-AA, we can be dominant in I-A,' and now they aren't even a top tier team in the MAC.
