Deuteronomy 28 shows how America became a very blessed nation, and it shows how Americans brought curses upon our land. Our constitution clearly states we are to obey this verse, but our politicians ignored our constitution, and placed our nation in debt.
Deuteronomy 28:12......You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
When did the world’s most blessed nation also become its biggest complainer?
As the Thanksgiving season approaches, it is becoming more and more obvious (painfully so) that a lot of Americans – even those who are generally optimistic – approach the future of this country with great trepidation.
Prices are up. Jobs are scarce. The economy is turbulent.
At press time, we didn’t know who the next leader of this country will be or what, exactly, he is planning to do to clean up so many things – from the environment to Wall Street to global dilemmas.
In 1955, 66 percent of Americans polled believed that the United States was the greatest country in the world, according to a Gallup survey; and, in the early 1990’s, only 37 percent echoed the same thing. It is not preposterous to presume that, nearly 20 years later, that number has fallen yet again.
Why?Despite the uncertainty and turmoil of the last few months, the United States – collectively – has a lot to be thankful for. We live in a culture with the most Nobel Prize winners and the greatest number of patents – proof that America is still foremost in the advancement of ideas and free thinking.
The American military is the finest in the world – regardless of whatever your views on the current war – or any other war – might be.
