If I can walk up to a counter and purchase my ticket...why would I pay extra money to get the same ticket online?

:retard:
who knows, maybe the SWAC dropped the ball on that one.
Frat, SU fans use ticketmaster when it is appropriate. In a 63,000 seat stadium........they feel it aint needed. But again when we have to play FAMU in Tally Ho.......the fans with good sense know you better get your tickets somehow before rolling down or else you will be like some I saw one year down there. Out of Luck.
I use the same stategy for concerts. I know EWF can't sell out the Target Center like the old days so I can wait and buy my ticket from the arena. Now when Prince is performing up here.........I bite the bullet and buy online from ticketmaster.
Dude I was so mad the first time I went to Baton Rouge I couldn't think straight. I purchased my ticket on campus got to the game early with my girl. And we sitting on aluminum bleachers in the endzone. A concession stand was right behind it and it stunk. The band performed and came back to no seats. I will never forget it. I had to park a long way and walk. That kinds of experience is hard to forget.
If you guys could only see how pink toes complain about crappy service in certain venues and vow to never come back. Folks feel that way about Mumford.
JSU has requested nothing.
Did not even know about this until SU announced their plans.
This is SU's home scheduling mess but from the SU post's, it's like we are holding a gun to their head's trying to make them move THEIR HOME GAME to another state.
Dude, every JSU fan can go to ticketmaster and get their damn ticket way before SU even sends you an allotment. That is an excuse. If JSU fans wanted too....they could buy as many tickets they want at ticketmaster when all tickets go on sale in the late summer. How do you think I get my ticket to the game sometimes.
You act like everybody who is a JSU fan has to walk up to JSU campus to get whatever allotment any school sends them. Does Grambling send yall an allotment of more than 2-3 K? What about PV, what about TxSU or AAMU or Bama State?
No one is saying JSU is forcing or demanding anything. :shame:
It useless. We have been trained to be fight against each other and attack each other, we don't have a clue anymore how to look out for the best interest of all HBCUs.
Oh well... It will be what it will be, since no one is interested in it being what it should be.
Peace...
....yall said GR was crazy. Having the game every year at Memorial is a logical business decision where both schools can make a lot of money every year. We are missing out on a huge opportunity to get our schools a lot of recognition and a lot of money.seating capacity is the reason why. they feel that since jsu fans dont travel we can pay the stadium organization a fee...then get the full gate and concessions.. meaning a larger profit. i can understand it..but its like why move the biggest home game away (next to homecoming) when we just added. a real good question is would we charge the tickets prices like in baton rouge (min of 28 dollars) or the standard for memorial 20 dollars.
basically tony clayton is saying 68,000 times whateva ticket prices are for the game will be more cash than having the game at mumford. the larger profit is what HE and he alone is trying to get. i understand that ...especially with so many schools working in the red, its smart to get the bigger payday.
Speaking for her..I think she buys season tickets...lol However, even if she didn't, there is NO NEED to have anyone get u a ticket if you don't live in Jackson. Ticket prices don't go up until Saturday so when I land, I go right to campus and get ALL THE TICKETS I WANT. The ONLY problem with that is that for instance, if the SU-JSU or JSU-ALcorn game is gonna sell 55K-60K tickets, they will close the ticket office on noon on Friday once they reach about 45K tickets sold so that they can get the extra loot the next day from the last minute folks. That has not happened to me in a minute so I don't sweat that anymore.
JR.
On a good day.
When JSU play's SU at MUMFORD, you know there are not going to be 8,000 to 12,000 plus ticket's available for JSU no matter what.
That's half your stadium people on here saying we can get.
Are you saying that we should be quick to buy cause just like us, SU is a walk up on Saturday and buy school like JSU.
Again.
Just like the other 50 times this has been posted, there will be only about 5,000 ticket's available to JSU when we play ya'll at Mumford.
Why would 20,000 JSU fan's even go down the highway when we know that no matter what, that 5,000 number is tops.
Hell.
The people that do go ARE THE ONES THAT HAVE THE TICKETS.
And GR was disappointed when ZN02 said he didnt want SU to deal with "The Man." That disappointed me since ZN is from Ms.
Who do yall deal with when yall go to the Superdome? Who did yall deal with when yall played Houston? Its been known that the city of New Orleans has been price gouging yall for years....
So are you saying that yalls white folks are better than our white folks?
Help GR with this..........
Why do ya'll keep putting this out when nobody said anything like this.Frat, that's what I am saying. If you know you can't get that many on the day of the game.......then you have no choice but to use other methods. All I am saying if 8,000 hard core JSU fans wanted tickets to that game in Mumford. They could get them way in advance. The only tickets sold before they all go on sell is season books.
It is my same analogy for us going to play FAMU. We already know their fans are going to get tickets and show up for that game in Tally.......so a sensible SU fan can't wait to do a walk up. So we buy their tickets up before the rush happens. We know that they aint going to send us but so many to BR. So we don't wait. So if you see 8,000 Jags in Tally Ho it is because they jumped on those early. The ones standing outside the gate will be ones who didn't have the good sense (Thanks Robber) to do so.
What you are saying is that 8K JSU fans are not willing to buy their tickets well in advance before all of them are gone. If that was a game that JSU folks really wanted to see..........they can get those tickets in August when they go on sale just like the casual SU fan who can't get them from SU. That's all I am saying. I bet if LSU for some dumb reason had to play SU in football at our stadium......them white folks would find a way to get more than the 2-3 K tickets we would send. So basically it is all up to the desire of your fan base.
As a SU fan and alum I know when I am going to go to a game on the road, I better get my ticket in advance. I aint taking no chances waiting on some allotment. Even if I lived in Baton Rouge I wouldn't wait.
That's like a Michigan fan waiting on Ohio State to send an allotment to Ann Arbor. Those real Michigan fans get their tickets in advance way before Ohio State sends any to Michigan. But I guess them folks got the dollars to spend by any means necessary.

We not getting 8,000 ticket's period.
Be real JR.
How many people in Jackson are thinking about a Ticket for SU in August.
You know the game people are scrambling to get a ticket for now.
Mississippi State and then Memphis.
People are not going to think about the SU game around here until at most 2 week's in advance.
We look at our games from week to week.
With the out of town SU folk's buying season tickets and regular ticket's through ticvketmaster the entire year, how many do you actually think are left when the month of October comes around?
I know damm well for a SU/JSU game, there are not 8,000 ticket's left after the 1st day because of your hoime crowd which is the way it should be for YOUR home game in a 25,000 stadium.
People on here act like JSU shoulkd be singled out for Ticketmaster use but everytime I travel to another school's stadium, I see the home crowd in the ticket line on gameday just like JSU.
Most of these people are blind to their own situation but they can come in here and talk about JSU for doing the same thing we have done for 40 years with no problems.
He aint saying that GR, we know what is happening in New Orleans.....at least in the past. Remember that's why I told you I didn't want SU to play JSU in the Dome back in the early 2000s. I think that is one of the reasons SU fans didn't embrace that game there.
Secondly,
I think my LB concerns REAL or PERCEIVED is that JSU is getting hosed at Memorial Stadium so he is wondering if them same folks will pull a fast one on SU as well. His concern is why would they be upfront with SU since we aint a MS school if they haven't always been upfront with JSU. That is the perception that SU will not end up with what we deserve in the deal.
Thirdly,
Tony Clayton has not taken into consideration the fact that we just did all this stuff at Mumford and need to keep revenue coming into the area and campus. I would not have issue with this game being played back to back in Memorial when the game has rolled off our schedules and we decide it is a gate split or something. But right now this deal has to happen with them folks who run Memorial........JSU aint at the table. So we can't be sure they aint lying to us when the deal is going down. REAL or PERCEIVED.
The problem here is jsu don't travel well. Excuses here about Mumford are moot because these people did not travel well to the mecca of college football and Southern U. second home desgination, the Lousisiana Superdome.
I have a little ambivalence about the game being in Jackson for S.U. next two home games. The positive is the potential for additional revenue. The negative is losing a home game that generates revenue not only for the university but for the BR community as well as give student a big home game. I will let the powers that be reconcile the two.......Peace and Hair Grease!

And I'm still trying to figure how you guys determined that JSU didn't travel to those games. yeah we left Bell high and dry but I went to two games and all I saw was JSU tags everywhere even on the drive down. And JSU was thick both years I went. Yeah we won those two games too.
