The economic downturn has hit everybody.
People in Jackson had to put money into their homes also.
We didn't have power or gas for week's just like ya'll.
Had 100 plus MPH winds all night, neighborhoods wrecked, and we still had to handle the influx of people from the mississippi gulf coast and louisana.

I know damm well you not using katrina as the reason for SU not filling a stadium 4 year's later in 2008.:lol:

I keep forgetting I am talking to folk who don't have as many big Saturdays as SU football.. My bad...

Even in high school it was a mess trying to get a football ticket on Friday...
But if I can think back to my park football days, I feel where you are coming from.

First off LSU isnt a mile away from SU. secondly inorder for LSU to even have the attendance they had the game date had to be changed and even then people where out there still went home to no lights, roofs missing, etc. Apples to oranges man..

Its the same way here in Jackson, the games be hyped up and the tailgating is always big just like SU's. Now all the other stuff yall arguing about lol, I wont get into. I understand the stuff about the Hurricane, a lot of my peeps down there are hurting still.
 
Southern Univerisity athletics and the nation is just so much better than jsu at everything. jsu don't even feel like they have a big time football game unless Southern rolls in town. Only Christmas in jackson is bigger than when Southern comes to town.

You mean the school that's not won a major SWAC championship in anything over the last five years? You mean the school that hasn't won a Commissioner's cup in two years, but JSU has won it the last two years?

You damn right it's your bad. JSU has led the SWAC in attendance more times over the last 15-20 years than ANY school in the SWAC, even when SU's not on our schedule.

You cannot be this dumb!

Let me spell it out for you. Mumford has 25,000 to 27,000 seats. If you want to be there with 20 to 22,000 of your closest Jaguar friends, you better get a seat early or stay your ass at home.

However, when we come to Jackson, with 65,000 seats available AND knowing Jackson State won't fill it by themselves, we will come up on Saturday and buy tickets there because we know seats are available.

Hence the reason for the lines you genius :shame:
 
Sometimes I wonder if Southern fans took the same approach SOME J-State fans do about coming to Baton Rouge, how many attendance titles would J-State have? How many sellouts would the stadium be able to undercount?

I mean, I have visited Memorial when Bama State and other schools are there. Anyone saying that it is even close to the same crowd or atmosphere as when the "S" is there is serious bullshitting themselves.

However, like my esteemed fellow Jaguar noted, this is not the issue. If SU is gonna do this, they need to find out exactly what the deal will be because we do not want to get taken like it has been rumored that J-State has for years.

You do know that JSU won the attendance title in 2002 when you guys didn't come to Memorial....and given how much we hate y'all anyway...that'll just be our 30K fans to your 2K fans. :lol: Southern folks ain't stupid. They know out of all the SWAC schools, we will show up.
