Why yall even entertain this dude.. he thinks every board on here is a "SMACK BOARD".....Like JR said...It ain't nothing but excuses.. I get my tickets from Ticketmaster sometimes...
If JSU fans really cared and believed in thier football team they would SHOW up. Last good showing JSU had was in 96 and 98... When they had a bit more faith in the program.. Honestly I think they should be more loyal and support their team in down years or not so good years as well...Andthing else is that "black man mentality"..

Lie. JSU fans travel to Memphis, Gram, shoot we take more fans to A&M than SU because you guys have made it so hostile that we just don't want to come to the game. Long line to get to the Stadium, crappy seats and bad treatment is why JSu fans refuse to come to this game in Baton Rouge. And Ticketmasters rips you off with fees so the average fan will pass since he has to sit amonst you yellas. Shoot even the kids curse folks out during games...

JR, I think it's a mental thing and people don't forget the past. When it comes to going to BR for the JSU game most people think 80's and 90's. Back then, there was no ticketmaster and SU fans packed the stands giving us a corner on some wooden bleachers while selling the band's seats. If JSU fans had the opportunity to pack in 10K fans on one side of the stadium, it may be more appealing to them. We may take more fans to Grambling than to BR. Mumford is just not the greatest atmosphere to travel to.

However, things have now changed and I think JSU fans will pick up on how to take over Mumford. We only had the chance to go down there in 2007 since Bell left.

TP,
Finally someone makes sense. Maybe some radio or TV spot should say this for that game so JSU fans will keep that in mind if they want to go the game in BR. Same for any game yall are on the road. I think for everybody else yall play it is easy to just roll up to the city/stadium on game day and get as many tickets yall want. But you can't do that at Mumford for that particular game.

That is still "The Man", right?

Peace...

Call it whatever you want.
"The MAN" is cutting money from the entire college system in Louisana so I guess we all have to answer to "THE MAN" at some point in time for thing's we need.

Anything else?
This is silly.

I gotcha.. yall don't want to come because yall don't know how to put a lil ignorant kid in his/her place for being rude... Glad you admitted it..

That is why I dont purchase tickets through ticketmaster.

Why should SU care about how many JSU fans get in the game?

If they are selling their seats to their fans to fill up their stadium that's all that should matter.

Do you think that Texas cares about how many OU fans show up at Royal Memorial.

Dude leave. The SU guys stated we don't travel to the game as to say JSU fans don't care about our team. All Lies. JSU up until 2007 was treated the worst out of all the schools that come to Baton Rouge. Shoot nobody else travels to those games either. JSU would bring the entire visitors side but SU has fans who want to see this game. So add that most of the tickets are sold in Baton Rogue to a stadium that hold 25500 then that leaves very few on ticket masters. Another problem is a lot of JSU fans don't live in Jackson. Baton Roue airport is smaller than Jackson's so you have to fly to new orleans just to get a decent rate. On top of that Hotels are usually booked because SU out of town fans want into the game as well. Bottom line they don't have to want us there but the reason we don't come is not because we don't support our team or lack of cofidence in out team.

I wonder if the thousand of Ole Miss fans have the same attitude about Ticket Master.... This funny but sad on many levels...

Now they don't attend because of Ticket master MINOR fees...

Correct I was about to say that.... Maybe it's the director JSU has appointed over the commision who is too scared the State may lose money.. Because if the State loses money off of any deal regarding that Stadium JSU must pay the STate aka "THE MAN" back...

Bottom-line is that stadium is in the way of Mississippi expanding that hospital across the street. If you haven't noticed, they have been building and have pretty much maxed out the space they have. They want the stadium grounds. Everybody that matters to the state has their own stadium (Ole Miss, Ms. State and USM). So, they aren't worrying about them needing the stadium.

Bottom-line again, I don't trust "The Man" cutting a deal with an out-of-state black school in the name of business. Right! Question is, who getting the business? This is bigger than a one time game; way bigger!

Peace...

Yall travel to Memphis because that is a Classic game with Tn State. Liberty Bowl is a big stadium and the average fan can wait until game day and do a walk up buy. So JSU fans can wait if they want on those tickets.

Yall go to Gram and AAMU because yall already know those folks aint coming to their home games and again you will have great luck in getting tickets.

Maybe TP's post is on point. Yall mentality is to be a walk up buyer since you play in a big stadium at home....you get used to doing that. SU fans realize we can't do that and so our mentality for the most part is to get tickets in advance by any means when we are on the road. Aint no way most SU fans think we will be able to walk up by tickets when we play FAMU in Bragg. So most get their tickets early. Ticketmaster fees don't ever stop me from buying a ticket unless I know I can get tickets through another source. And I don't mean going through SU either. You risk too many chances going through your school for their allotment of tickets. You already know some of those alloted tickets have been put aside for some folks on campus in administration and such.

fyi... you've totally missed what I'm saying and asking. But, that's life.

Peace...

You right.
Ya'll are funny and sad at the same time.

Ole Miss got a 67,000 seat stadium with 35 LUX suite's for people to enjoy the game.
Don't even try and compare Mudford with that place or Memorial when it comes to ticket sales
.
Memorial at 62,500 and Oxford at 67,000 is a hell of a lot more than Mudford at 25,000.
Ticket master can run 24/7 advertisement's in Jackson for the SU game and JSU still would not cop more than 5,000 ticket's for Mudford when all the SU fan's buying from the same place, season ticket's, and early Baton Rougue sales are taken into account.

I have a question....b/c I'm a little confused...

Is JSU asking SU to move the game to Jackson or is SU asking to move the game to Jackson?

It's SU's home game right? Sooooooooooo if Mumford is so great...why is there any discussion about moving the game to Jackson?

Through all the smack in this thread...I don't understand why the discussion of moving it is taking place?

Just asking...

Dumb dude Ole Piss sales more season tickets than your yearly attendance. Sheesh use LSU for an example next time.

JSU has requested nothing.
Did not even know about this until SU announced their plans.

This is SU's home scheduling mess but from the SU post's, it's like we are holding a gun to their head's trying to make them move THEIR HOME GAME to another state.

You are missing the whole point dummy... TicketMaster FEES should not stop someone with JSU ties from purchasing a DAYUM ticket. Use common sense next time.

JR even at Braggs do you guys take over. Do you take up half the seats? Common sense tells you that SU fans will get the majority of the tickets. Season ticket holders, then the locals who get them when they go on sale. You sale more in the city. So even if JSU wanted to bring 15000-20000 fans where the heck we gone sit...Thanks Players.

If the game in Jackson can draw 60,000 jsu fans already know they are in trouble at 25000-26000. Numbers don't lie SUTRP96 does.

This is what I was thinking...but I would like to hear a SU poster's reply to my question.

If they are initiating the talks to move their game to Jackson...then where is all the smack towards Jackson/Memorial Stadium coming from?
:retard:

That's why I say I'm confused.
:noidea:

If I can walk up to a counter and purchase my ticket...why would I pay extra money to get the same ticket online?

Ticketmaster is frustrating. The most frustrating thing to me about the SCG is trying to get tickets. JSU does not have any. Legion field does not have any...so you have to go to ticketmaster or order from the alumni associations to get crappy seats. Then on gameday, you can buy 50 yard line tickets at the gate that they had been holding...lol There is a big difference in going to a ticket office and ordering 15 tickets at face value vs. going to ticketmaster to order 15 tickets and being hit with a $70 surcharge.

Dumb dude I been using ticket masters since 98 and I know black people will not use ticketmasters when they see the fees. Pink toes follow their team at whatever cost. Black people don't. Some of us are diehard most aren't.

I purchased my ticket for the Jackson /SU game via Ticket masters and printed it out. Why because I didn't want to stand in the lines on campus or at the gate.

My point is you comparing apples to star fruit. Alabama, michigan, Tenn have packed stadiums for their spring games. We charge 5 dollars and get 1500. Different breed of fans. Dummy

shaggy,
here's a way....
If you don't want to pay ticketmaster fees and Jsu has sold out of its allotment, why don't yall just buy 'em directly from SU? (I'm assuming they do offer telephone sales)
That's what I did last year when we played at FAMU. I had to keep waiting around to see who all was going and by the time I had a firm number, ASU had sold out of its allotment. I ended up calling FAMU's ticket office and got 8 tickets through them. Picked 'em up at will call on gameday. Didn't have to pay ticketmaster fees.

Right and on top of that, we are not used to reserved seats either...lol Reserved seats serve little purpose in Memorial. On top of that, unless someone organizes it, friends are not guaranteed to sit together in Mumford. You all can bring 20 people to Memorial and ALL sit together. Heck, I recall my first trip to Mudford, about 4 in my party were in the endzone, two were over by SU's band and 2 more were on the opposite side.

We can go to Alcorn's visitor side, AAMU or Grambling and sit where the hell we want.

MH you logical and so am I. If I want to go I'm going because I love my tigers as you do your Hornets. So the Diehards will make a way out of no way as you did. But my only point is, if we know that the game will be a sale out and SU brings 20,000 fans to Jackson if not more, then how many tickets will actually be available for JSU fans at this game in a 25500 seat facility?
