Dude, ticketmaster is not the only reason I said that JSU folks don't attend the the game in Baton Rouge.

Nobody gives a fugg why JSU fans don't attend. That is a JSU issue and not ours. You just said we sell out for the JSU game. Obviously enough FOOTBALL fans and some Band Heads show up to fill up Mumford.

This sucks! JayRob knows less than you know about the aforementioned topic of SU potentially playing in Jackson's Memorial Stadium in 2009.

JayRob, if you are a true black Mississiappian who also happens to be from JSU, instead of you perpetuating more of your Willie Lynch Syndrome psychology. You may want to find out want "The Man" is doing with someone other than your school and communicate the facts that you find out to both the JSU and the SU supporters. Knowing "The Man" in MS, I wouldn't be shocked if the deal isn't good for either school and I can see it as something that we could allow the "The Man" to pit ourselves against each other regarding our recognition of it after the fact. And that would be a shame on both JSU and SU to allow "The Man" to place a wedge between us and damage one of the best athletic rivalries in the nation.

This one isn't to be played with. We both need to be serious about what is happening here and keep it real. If it is a great deal, let's make it such. I just don't trust it. Nothing about it makes sense for "The Man" to cut this deal with us.

Peace...

Problem I have with this is "JUST WHERE THE SAM HELL WOULD SU SIT, CERTAINLY :upset:NOT ON OUR HOME SIDE"!

I HAVE A :mad:PROBLEM WITH THIS!!!

Now see.:shame:
This flaw is so big it's in the lie category.
Why in the heck would 10,000 to 15,000 JSU fan travel to Mudford when we know we won't have but 2,000 seat's to split between us.

I don't go to Mudford because of that.
Why go through all that trouble just to sit in a parking lot.

Dude.
By the week of that game when it's played in MUDFORD, there are only a couple thousand tickets left.
So let's say JSU get's them.
That is about the sum of JSU fan's that alway's get in that place.
3,000 to 4,000 at best and that includes the games from the 1990's that was mentioned.

Now tell me again why would 15,000 JSU fan's travel to a place where we know there will be no tickets.
Ain't like Baton Rougue people don't go to ticket master also.
We also have other gamnes to attend.
We don't plan our whole year checking to see when SU ticket's go on sale.

If the tickets are on sale during the summer why do you wait until the week of? Ticketmaster has more than 2,000-4,000 tickets available.

Man.

If this game is played in Jackson, this is going to be the biggest mess yet.
If it do happen, do ya'll honestly think these neck's are going to let a bunch of out-of-state people come in a run Memorial and take the lion's share of the cut?

Ya'll say ya'll talking to The City of Jackson but in the end, ya'll will be talking to the Dept. of Finance...............THE STATE.........before any approval is given.

Dude, some things can be blamed on "the man" and some things can't. Isn't your AD Black? Isn't your Board majority Black? Did "the man" force SU officials to change it's location?

Come on dude, "the man" is guilty of a lot of things, however this issue doesn't seem to be one of them.
Besides, the city of Jackson is 80 percent Black, so the money folks spend in and around the Jackson area will benefit a lot of Black folks.

If that is your opinion, don't worry about it. But, I didn't think blacks ran the stadium to which JSU plays home football games. Nonetheless, if I'm wrong, so be it. If I'm not, don't say crap when it all comes out in the wash during the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2009.

Peace...

Memorial Stadium is not owned by the City of jackson.
Memorial Stadium is owned by The State of Mississippi.

Doesn't Alcorn sit on the "Home" side when they are "hosting" the CCC in Memorial. What the hell makes you think this would be any different?

I will go on record as being against this to the end of my being because I don't give a damn how many J-State fans get into Mumford. I just want it full and if that's full of Jaguar fans, excellent. However, if Clayton is successful in this, we will be on the home side. Hell, we have filtered over there for the last few games anyway.

Rest assured, Mumford, Memorial, Independence Stadium, it makes no difference. We are taking the blue puddy ass to school .... for the second year in row.

Why should SU care about how many JSU fans get in the game?

If they are selling their seats to their fans to fill up their stadium that's all that should matter.

Do you think that Texas cares about how many OU fans show up at Royal Memorial.

Word is SU would sit on the visitor side of their home game in Jackson. :shame:

That is stupid enough. But, my concerns are in what is in the contract with "The Man" at Jackson's Memorial Stadium.

Peace...

Nah I read that part but if that's the case WTH are ya'll complaining about the amount of tickets available for? You're contradicting your whole argument. You don't have to check the whole year to see about anything because the tickets are easily accessable. 1+1=2

We have other games to attend too but if the other school gives us 2,000 tickets the other 8,000 to 12,000 of us have enough common sense to go to ticketmaster in the mall or on the internet and purchase tickets.

:D I would think Texas would be worried about this, considering Royal would otherwise be empty "that week".

Did I say SU should care?
I don't even care.

I'm just putting people back on the right track when these poster's from SUck's came in with their usual crap about JSU don't travel to Mudford.
Common sense would tell people if only 4,000 to 5,000 ticket's are to be had at best, why in hell would we travel 15,000 deep just to sit in traffic?

Nobody from JSU said we care about how many get in.
We just basically said why waste our time and ya'll took it from there.

This is a SUck's problem.
I really don't care if they play the game at a highschool cause it don't affect JSU's home schedule at all.
Why should we care if SU work's out a deal with Memorial in MISSISSIPPI just to improve thier profit's.:noidea:
Their profit's mean nothing to us just like how many JSU people get into MUDFORD means nothing to SUck's and all their co-signers.

Dude, every JSU fan can go to ticketmaster and get their damn ticket way before SU even sends you an allotment. That is an excuse. If JSU fans wanted too....they could buy as many tickets they want at ticketmaster when all tickets go on sale in the late summer. How do you think I get my ticket to the game sometimes.

You act like everybody who is a JSU fan has to walk up to JSU campus to get whatever allotment any school sends them. Does Grambling send yall an allotment of more than 2-3 K? What about PV, what about TxSU or AAMU or Bama State?

JR, I think it's a mental thing and people don't forget the past. When it comes to going to BR for the JSU game most people think 80's and 90's. Back then, there was no ticketmaster and SU fans packed the stands giving us a corner on some wooden bleachers while selling the band's seats. If JSU fans had the opportunity to pack in 10K fans on one side of the stadium, it may be more appealing to them. We may take more fans to Grambling than to BR. Mumford is just not the greatest atmosphere to travel to.

However, things have now changed and I think JSU fans will pick up on how to take over Mumford. We only had the chance to go down there in 2007 since Bell left.

Where did I complain about available tickets.
I said we don't go because we know that only X number of ticket's are available.

Since you acting like it's so hard to understand you tell me the reason behind this thinking.

JSU fans travel 20,000 deep to Mudford like we going to the Superdome or something.
Tell me what in hell are the other 15,000 JSU fan's without ticket's making the trip for?.
So by your thinking, if 8,000 to 12,000 JSU fans get in, are you tell me that the 100,000 strong SU Nation will be reduced to only getting 16,000 in your own stadium?

YOU CONTRADICTING YOUR OWN ARGUMENT. :lmao:

That is still "The Man", right?

Peace...

Correct I was about to say that.... Maybe it's the director JSU has appointed over the commision who is too scared the State may lose money.. Because if the State loses money off of any deal regarding that Stadium JSU must pay the STate aka "THE MAN" back...
