This weekend was huge for the two major Division II conferences. Some crucial matchups clarified the championship picture as we enter the back half of the season.
In the SIAC, Miles snatched sole possession of first place in the conference following a win against Albany State.
Meanwhile, in the CIAA, Livingstone pulled off a big win against reigning CIAA championship runner-up Fayetteville State. Also, Winston-Salem State kept themselves within striking distance, knocking off Shaw.
Elsewhere, West Virginia State is making a push for its second-ever Mountain East championship game berth, having improved to 4-0 in conference play this weekend.
