After winning the first Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament championship in program history, the Fort Valley State men’s volleyball team will face a well-known Power 5 university in their first post-season appearance.
The Wildcats will face defending champion UCLA on Tuesday, April 30, in the NCAA Division I/Division II men’s volleyball tournament quarterfinals in Long Beach. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m. EST.

The tournament features eight teams from around the country: six conference champions and two at-large teams.
The Bruins have won 20 national championships, while Fort Valley will make their first NCAA tournament appearance.
The Wildcats are 17-8 on the season with a perfect 10-0 regular season record in SIAC play. Their flawless play continued in the SIAC tournament with 3-0 sweeps of Kentucky State and Central State to win the conference title.
