Prior to Langston, he was head coach at his alma mater, Talladega College, compiling a 171-68 record in eight seasons as women’s basketball head coach. Herod released a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, announcing his departure from Langston.
“I am deeply grateful for this opportunity,” he said. “I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to AD Horn, Brentwood Partners (search firm), and the FMU athletic leaders for their confidence in me. Their support is instrumental in our shared vision for the future of FMU Women’s Basketball.”
