When defending HBCU national champion North Carolina Central goes on the road to face Morgan State on Thursday, Oct. 19, they will play in primetime.
The matchup between the Eagles and Bears will air on ESPNU. For the second year in a row, the teams will play against each other on one of ESPN’s family of networks. The 2022 matchup, a 59-20 win by the Eagles, aired on ESPN2.
This game will serve as Morgan State’s MEAC home opener. The Bears will head into the game coming off a 12-day layoff after playing its homecoming contest.

On the other hand, this will be one of two straight games for North Carolina Central on ESPNU after they play their conference home opener against South Carolina State the following week.
For the second year in a row, Morgan State and NC Central will play against each other on one of ESPN’s main channels. Their matchup last year aired on ESPN2. NC Central has won the last six meetings.
