No HBCU football team has been more impacted by the transfer portal than Jackson State.
The program has both shed and gained talented players in the offseason. This time around, the Tigers added Power 5 quarterback JaCobian Morgan.
Morgan, who most recently was at Syracuse, has a previous brush with Jackson State. He initially took an official visit to the school in 2020 before ultimately committing The Orange.

The three-star quarterback prospect played four games in three seasons at Syracuse, completing 32-of-50 pass attempts for 288 yards and two touchdowns.
This is the second ACC quarterback transfer Jackson State has fielded this offseason in addition to former Virginia Tech signal caller Jason Brown.
Both will compete to be the Tigers’ full-time starter, along with former JUCO All-American Phillip Short.
