For the fifth time of the 2021 spring football season, Alabama A&M will not play due to COVID-19 protocols within its opponent’s program.
On Tuesday, the school announced that its Saturday contest against Prairie View A&M had been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols within the Prairie View football program.
Not only is it the second time in as many weeks that the Bulldogs will not complete due to COVID-19 protocols, but it’s also the second time they’ve had to postpone the contest with Prairie View A&M for the same reason.
Prairie View has paused all football activities and has postponed its games against AAMU and its April 10 contest against Southern.
Alabama A&M was scheduled to face Grambling State last Saturday, but that game was canceled.
“As is the case with all programs in Spring 2021, the schedule is fluid and may be adjusted as opportunities present themselves,” the school stated in a release.
A makeup date against the Panthers has yet to be announced.
With the postponement, AAMU will play its next game on April 10 against Jackson State in a game scheduled to air on ESPN.
