The SWAC, all season long, has been promoting Saturday’s conference football championship game between Alcorn State and Grambling as “Judgment Day”.
For the Braves (8-3), the game will be an opportunity to redress a one-point overtime loss to the Tigers on Oct. 17.
As for the Tigers (9-2), they are determined to stay unbeaten in conference play.
And of course, the winner will face North Carolina A&T in the inaugural Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl in the Atlanta Georgia Dome on Dec. 20.
It’s time to pick. Who will win the SWAC Championship Game?
i still say the best team from the SwAC just did not show up when the chips were on the table. I would have loved to see GSU play a&t for all the marbles. Trust me Alcorn will never repeat that feat against them in the next four years. If any good coach has 2-3 weeks to to prepare for you as you continue playing it is EASY to dissect their game plans. To be honest neither the Swac nor Meac should have ample time to prepare for the next opponent.
