Jackson State President Carolyn Meyers now has something in common with 50 Cent, Mariah Carey and Carl Lewis.
Being unable to successfully complete the task of throwing out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the start of a baseball game.
Yay!
On Thursday, the Mississippi Braves, the Double-A Minor League Baseball club of the Atlanta Braves, hosted Jackson State University Night at the team’s ballpark.
Who better to do the honors of representing the university in front of hundreds of baseball fans than Meyers, right?
In a video posted on the JSU Instagram account, Meyers — wearing a white baseball cap atop her carefully groomed long hair — strolled several feet in front of the mound and grasped the baseball like an Easter egg.
The university ambassador then proceeded to break out into some Harlem Shake-like stanky leg/Nae Nae motion (we hope to gather momentum) before launching a can-o-corn into the air before the ball bounced several feet in front of home plate like a perfect sand wedge shot from a deep rough.
Thanks to the web (and the Mississippi Braves) for allowing Meyers to display her famous “Carolyn curve” that didn’t curve.
