After months of speculation about a bowl featuring featuring the MEAC and SWAC, Wednesday both leagues and ESPN confirmed what has been in the works for a long time.
And then Twitter blew up once the announcement was made.
With this Celebration Bowl, the MEAC is essentially saying "our schools can't compete in the FCS playoffs."

This is a reason why HBCU football is being snuffed out,need to prove they belong instead of a cheap 1M $$$ handout to bow out of FCS playoff.
The SWAC really got what they wanted. Celebration Bowl really!
