New Orleans, La. (GCAConf.com) – The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced today the GCAC Volleyball Player of the Week for games played from Nov. 10-16. Xavier University junior outside hitter CeCe Williams (Houma, La.) earns Player of the Week honors for the first time this season and in her career.
Williams was named Most Valuable Player at the 2014 GCAC Volleyball Championship after helping Xavier to its fourth consecutive tournament title. In the championship final against No. 2 seed SUNO, CeCe Williams produced her second career double-double with 12 kills and 16 digs. In the semifinals and finals she averaged 9.5 kills and 10 digs.
