ATLANTA – Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference commissioner Greg Moore has accepted an invitation to participate in a NCAA roundtable set for Monday, July 14, in Atlanta.
The roundtable discussion will include presidents, chancellors, conference commissioners and leaders from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). The purpose of the meeting is to explore the current landscape of intercollegiate athletics within HBCUs and develop an agenda for a wider discussion for the 2015 NCAA Convention.
“I appreciate the NCAA for hosting and facilitating such a critically important dialogue,” said SIAC Commissioner Greg Moore. “This discussion will provide HBCU stakeholders an opportunity to both articulate and underscore our unique and critically important mission and purpose within the larger framework of contemporary intercollegiate athletics.”
Moore will also serve on a leadership development panel during the NCAA Leadership Institute.
