This topic is being discussed on the message board with a number of different opinions regarding J-State’s pricing strategy.
With the published prices being what they are, do you think the prices are too high?
Too high, plus it’s $10 to park and no kids season tickets
Kenn, please be sure to mention that the school is offering early bird special of $120 for the season and a family pack of 4 GA tix for each game at 300 before May 7, 2014 and a family pack of 4 GA tix for each game at 400 prior to August 30, 2014.
The ticket prices very cheap when compared to what the big name schools (e.g. USC Trojans ($55) charge for general admission. If HBCU sports is to provide a quality products, the prices need to reflect it. If you charge low, you get a low quality product and vice versa. Given that many HBCU sports programs have been neglected by poor funding (e.g. A.D’s not schooled in marketing and sponsorship), we need to improve them through ticket prices, sponsorships, etc. After all, these tickets are still cheaper than going to the clubs, after parties, concerts that many HBCU students and alums, as well as some Black Americans spend lots of money without blinking an eye.
