The head of the Democratic National Committee will not speak at the party's convention next week, a decision reached by party officials Saturday after emails surfaced that raised questions about the committee's impartiality during the Democratic primary.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, whose stewardship of the DNC has been under fire through most of the presidential primary process, will not have a major speaking role in an effort "to keep the peace" in the party, a Democrat familiar with the decision said. The revelation comes following the release of nearly 20,000 emails
 
Next, the Republicans will hold hearings to investigate if Hillary Clinton knew anything about the nearly DNC 20,000 emails.

Well, I guess jsupop33's conspiracy theory concerning Debbie Wasserman Schultz was like playing a game of darts, he was close to the bull's-eye?

This happens at the lowest level of government... hell even in small organizations. The committee has a preference of who they want 99% of the time...

The smartest thing for the democrats to do was to not allow anyone else to run. Sanders should have run as an independent.
 
No, @Olde Hornet and @Sting said I was making this up. It was obvious that Little Debbie was trying to throw the game for Clinton. I honestly don't ever remember another major party chair literally trying to fix an election.

How did she do that. I'm a Clinton supporter and the DNC had nothing to do with my support of Hillary. I never considered Bernie a Democrat, so I never would vote for him in a Democratic Primary, maybe in the General election if he ran as a Socialist or Independent. That's like a Kappa attempting to become president of the Omegas.
 
The Dems were right not to let a non-democrat take over their political party. The Repubs allowed A non-Republican to take over their party. We will see who made the right decision in Nov.

She cleared the field for Clinton. She basically turned the DNC into a Hillary Clinton cheerleading squad. The party chair is supposed to be neutral. Debbie was trying to hand the presidency to her friend. She is the worst party chair in my lifetime.
 
When this blows over, which it will, the subject should be brought up over and over again that Trump is now in bed with Communist Russia. Who would've ever thunk it, the Republicans and Communists in bed together.

How? Like the GOP cleared the field for Bush, Rubio, and other credentialed Republicans. The voters had nothing to do with Trump and Clinton winning their party domination. LOL...It was the work of the RNC and the DNC.
 
It amazes me how so many blacks believe Sander's was going to lead them to the promise land. This dude has been in the Senate for 40 years and hasn't sponsored one bill for minorities. Just like Donald Trump hasn't done anything to help America in his life time. Only fools believe that.

It's business as usual.

This is why I am an independent. Our country has had two major parties for far too long. I said it from the beginning that Bernie Sanders should have stuck to his independent roots. Sanders would have pulled the power republicans along with the true progressive democrats, and lastly those who don't trust any candidate.
 
Bernie was simply running hoping he could slip thru a crack in the democratic party. Everyone and their mother knew Clinton was to make the democratic run after she lost to Pres. the first time around. Thus the reason that no one was going to really run against her. Bernie knew this, hell he even switched his stance on multiple platforms to run democratic. Don't really see what the fuss is all about. We knew which way the party was leaning 7 years ago. What's new? The fact someone very powerful caused the email leak and that's about it.

This is what I don't get. How do people miss that Sanders is not a registered Democrat?
He is an Independent, and since Independent is not a party, he ran under the Dem ticket, he could've ran under the Rep ticket if he wanted.

The Democratic Party endorsed his run in Vermont in 2006 (including Obama & Chuck Schumer), allowed him to caucus with them to gain that majority in the 111th Congress, but now he's not a Democrat. Just call the man yalls slump buster side heaux LOL!

You don't think anything is wrong with the head of the DNC (who's supposed to be impartial) actively conspiring to basically appoint her choice, LOL? Do you seriously think that Debbie wouldn't have done the same thing in 2008 vs Obama had she been the DNC chair? Y'all know damn well you would be hot. After all, everyone and their mother knew Clinton was running then as well.

I think it would have been a different story if the Vice President would have run. I think Biden would have chosen Hillary as his running mate. When Biden decided not to run it through a monkey wrench in a number of things.

I recall that Debbie S was ready to fight Obama being nominated during the 2008 Democratic election primary. Clinton & Obama's teams worked things out before the convention though. I wonder if placing Schulz as head of the DNC was a part of the compromise...even though she is a strong Clinton supporter?
