You are too old for that?

Re: You are told for that?

I'm too old to be listening to alot of this rap music(because it aint real hip hop) now.

and regarless of my age...you would never catch me in a pair of skinny jeans.

Re: You are told for that?

It's one thing for people to say that you are too old to do certain things. Do what you do anyway.

It's another thing for people to say that the things you do are immature. That could be a problem.

I don't want a bucket list of things to do when I am old and know I'm about to die. I want to live each day as if it were my last, and enjoy whatever life has to throw my way.

Re: You are told for that?

Some things like wife beaters on 40+ men.

.

Uhhhhhh, they're called A-Shirts and they are made for men to wear at any age, I have them in several colors and I wear them under certain types of shirts I wear. These young bucks are the ones try to sport em like they gang atire.

Now some of them 30-40+ guys are too dam old to be trying to wear their dam pants hanging all off their arse.

Re: You are told for that?

Adult men who wear jerseys when not at a sporting event need to cut that crap out.

Re: You are told for that?

Man, I am just saying. I see some cats stuck in undergrad mindsets and it gets old quick. If at 35, all you can ever talk about is the frat, something is wrong.

That's true. It is possible to still be active/financial and not have your life revolve around your fraternity or sorority. The problem is that some people didn't really have lives before XYZ and now have nothing else to hold on to. Aside from that, most grown women aren't checking for a dude who goes to fraternity stuff all the time even if she's also Greek.

You have to have balance whether it is your organization, your church, or even your job that ends up taking up a good chunk of your time.

Re: You are told for that?

I have a potna that is 43 and still plays his PS3 every night. The problem with this situation is that his wife calls my wife every night to talk and takes away from my family time. I guess thats why his kids can barely read. SMH (thanks for the free counseling TSPN!!!)

Re: You are told for that?

As far as vacations go, those are always more fun when you are still young and childless. That's not to say that you can't have fun if you're a little older or have some kids in tow, but naturally things change with time and responsibilities. Some of the trips that my wife and I have been on would have taken a different spin if we were about 10 years older or had to take a child along.

Can they wear them UNDER the shirt like they were intended then?

If he is playing his PS3 every night like that, he's lucky that all his wife is doing is calling your wife.

You'll enjoy the vacations with your kids too. Just wait. When your kid's eyes light up when they see something...Priceless.

I'm sure that we'll enjoy them. However, I'm also sure that the vacations and layouts will change as well.

Re: You are told for that?

Man, I'm almost too old to play video games. I know that sounds bad at 27, but it's hard to give it up. I got about another three years left before I retire I think. Plus, my younger cousin and his friends just beat the crap out of me in games now. LOL.
Hey Kendrick, I'm 39 and I still play, PC or PS3, heck even the DSi with my daughter, who's getting better each time we play and I take pleasure in beating her, it teaches her how to lose gracefully. At least that's my story.

Re: You are told for that?

There are always grandparents who love to have kids over while you vacation.

I'm not a big fan of dumping kids off on the grandparents. I can see doing that for a trip that would really be a one-on-one thing (second honeymoon, etc.), but I can see where resentment or other issues can kick in if we made that a habit.

Yeah, my people ain't gone take that but too many times. I think they enjoy their empty nest.

Re: You are told for that?

I also find that is a downsouth mentality. These "old" people up here love to party and they love ANY reason to get dressed up and a mini-skirt is not out of the ordinary for a 50 year old.

I'm not saying on a monthly basis. LOL Once a year most grandparents would love it. I know my mom does.

I don't have any kids but my mom is the exact opposite. She never gets enough of her grandkids (my sister's kids) and gets upset if they don't come to stay. If there is any resentment, it's when they have to go back. My mom wants the kids over the summer, spring break, holidays, ...lol like she is a custodial parent and gets mad when they have to go back.

Now I know some grandparents up here who won't even let their grandkids spend the night. That is so unusual to me.
