I'm tired of this crap. For over four plus years, we, the members of TSPN, have been subjected to this constant crap on the great power of the Jackson State Tigers. Yeah, they are OTHER teams who need to be called out, but no one else's fans on here are this brash and sometimes, BLIND about their program.

You once were a great BCF power.
You once struck fear into other schools walking into their stadiums.
Your running game was once feared by many.

However, let's get with TODAY!

You are a small blip on BCF today. Why? Here are a few reasons:

(a) You boast of great talent, which you have had, but no longer do.
(b) You talk about everyone else deficiencies, but fail to acknowledge your own.
(c) The majority of your fan base has LOST confidence on your football program, especially after the Hampton white-washing.
(d) Do we really have to bring up your abscence from SWAC title discussions over the last NINE years?
(e) The only joy you speak of is your three year run over Southern from 2000-2002.
(f) You have allowed a also-ran to come from 0-11 one year and TAKE over your state in the SWAC.
(g) You boast about beating the SWAC's nine-game mandate only to see that you MIGHT wish you had played TxSU instead of Hampton and NW State.
(h) You put down the coaching of everyone else, but fail to sweep your own porch, inpublic. (We know you curse him out in private at the barber shops and restaurants of Jackson.)

For once, GIVE the rest of us why we should believe a damn word you say or are your going to continue to sell us these .....

Just saying we are JSU doesn't work anymore. The rest of us know what that means and right now, that will get you about 2 cents to a 35 cent cup of coffee. :vomit: :spin:

When Ala. State hired a new coach, he continued to run some of the same plays Cole was running, if its not broke don't fix it. Yes,know he is gradually making changes know. If something is working successfully why change. We were #1 in the nation in offense, then we dropped to #107. Ala State's coach left everything the same and they ended up going to the SWAC championship game. With this loser, we barely beat Valley and Texas Southern. Either one of those games could have gone the other way. That is how far we have fallen. We are at the bottom of the league, with PVU and Valley. As far as B. WHEW!!!!!!! I'm loving this debate about Bell guys. All good points. I guess I'm really from the OLE SCHOOL, It's not that I like Bell or anything, I'm just trying to stay positive on the whole situation. Have I been blinded? YES!! I just don't want to believe that we let a coach go, because of 3 7-4 seasons, to get a high school head coach who was 1-9, and had sub-par defensive teams in the Big 10, and ACC. In ********* reality world, Bell needs to go!!! He has sabatoged a GREAT program. We were really, I mean REALLY LUCKY to win the 2 games we did last year, and to make matters worst Prairie View, which by the way will be 2-0 after this weekend (Paul Quinn) has circled the calendar for their JSU game. We are the laughing stock of the SWAC. No one is scare of the once MIGHTY "MAC OF THE SWAC" JSU. We are the cream puffs of the league now, teams want us for homecoming. It is a disgrace to the former coaches, players, trainers, and other personal associated with JSU FOOTBALL. Our voice will be heard about this mess we have to endure. However we need to still come out and support our kids, they need us!! I will be there, regardless, and yes I will have my blinders on again, hoping for a win. Can you believe that we are actually hoping to WIN. 2 weeks can't come fast enough for me, for Bells sake we need to be at least 1-2 going into the Valley game. Which in reality translates into 0-3! D@MN what a difference 3 years makes.

Think we are the ONLY ones worried about JSU, Mafia? You better open your eyes because everyone else, even those in your backdoor, is seeing a decline.

Still worrying about the Superdome? Well .....

We have not won a game in Memorial stadium since the 2002 season. If we don't beat Valley on September 25, 2004, we will probably not win a game in the stadium this year. I can read all of the comments and the letter from ******, but still can't accept this type of a season. I feel that the coaches should play the best players on the team and if Green is our best QB we may not win a game in the stadium this year. Green has not shown any consistency since he's been at JSU. We are playing a nationally ranked 1-AA team this weekend, so I am anxious to see if we can show some TIGER-PRIDE and show up.

Looks like some of you said the same thing about Green ....

Your right. Why are we worrying about you guys. It's not like the Alumni are gearing up to take Bell and Culberson down or nothing, right?

Every self-respecting Jacksonian is a winner. Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing for true blue Jacksonians. Those are quotes from some of my earlier writings and speeches. I stand by them. At Jackson State University, we expect to win every football game. A loss is a real, personal letdown. There was a time when we could ring out a rap that went like this: We may never, ever go 11 & 0 -- But we are sure to go 7 & 4" Our tradition has it that in every game we lost, down to the final ticks on the clock, winning was still a possibility. Checking the records, most of the time we lost by less than two touchdowns. A few more minutes, one more possession...! Such is no longer the case. Last year, we didn't go 11 & 0 and we failed to go 7 & 4. Instead, with only two wins, we were fortunate to be 2 & 10. Worst, we weren't always seriously challenging at the end. Several games were over in the first quarter. A senior-laden team coming off three consecutive 7 & 4 seasons with a four-year starting quarterback and the nation's best passing offense sank to 2 &10. That was in 2003. We have prayed, soul-searched and tried to put that behind us. Better days are ahead, I do believe. We entered 2004 "Bigger, Better, Stronger." Our 38-19 loss to Hampton University hurt deep down. Real deep. Yet, our team played well. They played as a team. At times, they looked good. Maybe, this nightmare is about to end. Some say, change coaches. Others say, change athletic director and coaches. A few want to change the entire administration. Such is the range of feelings among Jacksonians who want and deserve to win every time especially against teams we are supposed to beat. I SAY let's support the Tigers. Let's support the administration. Let's support the athletic director. Let's support the coach. Let's give this process a few more games to show consistent and progressive improvement. Let's do all we can as True Blue Jacksonians to instill the will to win in our players and coaches. By Homecoming (November 6), we ought to know where we stand. At the General Meeting, I, as National President, will entertain a motion to adopt a resolution as presented by the resolution committee addressing the football situation.

Could ONLY be a Alumni President who would make a rah-rah statement like that last one and then remind Bell and Culberson that we can CAN your asses.

Remember that lady I talked about earlier? Well, she got my pie and she was still pissed .....

Bell is an terrible coach. I hate to say this, but we might not win a game this season. The schedule doesn't get any easier, and we have already been exposed agaisnt the run. He is suppose to be a defensive specialist. Just like last year he continues to make excuses, and he always puts the blame on the players.He has come in and messed up an once proud program. I'm a '99 grad of J-State and I have been attending games since'83. I work with SU and GSU grads, they laugh daily about how we hired a high school coach and how he has messed our program up. Culberson has given him all the tools to win, but he continues to blame the players. What kind of system are you putting in were it takes two years to pick up. ALa. State hired a coach a month before the season strated last year and he played with the hand he was dealt. He didn't come in and make wholesale changes. Bell has had 15 straters back each season, the problem is him. We need to realize this and get this bum out of there. If he couldn't coach high school, what makes you think he can be an head coach at our school. People like me aren't going to waste money on that loser. When he goes this year Culberson needs to go to. Friends don't hire friends. Bell needs to go to jr. high maybe he can win there, because has hasn't succeded at any other level.

Damn, she tells it like it is. I like her. I bet she was a J-Sette. Just fiesty like a mutha*^^*!

In 2003, with 15 starters returning, we went from the most fear offense in the country to near the bottom. Also, now it appears according to Coach Bell that our players are dumb and cannot grasp his coaching schemes. I ask all alumni and supporters to think about that. Note this was done, without weight room and better faclilties. It appears that Coach Bell is not the teacher he claims to be, beacuse a good teacher know how to get his message across to his pupils

Now, I've met Green, Dancy, and McGowan personally before. They are not dumb young men at all. Very intelligent and know a lot about football.

Finally, someone puts it into perspective .....

Everyone I am new to this forum. As I watch JSU this weekend I came to the conclusion we will proably win about two games this year if we are lucky. Improvement to me can only be measured in wins and losses. It is such tradegy to see a once powerhouse program go down the tube. The bottom Line is we need to CLEAN HOUSE ASAP! AD, Coach and anybody else who has ties to them...A VERY FUSTRATED ALUMNI

Nick Saban tells the city of Baton Rouge about the catastrophe syndrome every year. He told them again this week after the nail-biter against Oregon State. He has a book that Bell could borrow .....
