But Comegy had that in his contract when we hired him at JSU. Im sure the $300K is already set aside in an account. We had to pay $50K for 3 years.

I def want JSU to let Hughes go and hire somebody at $160K. We could use that $100K saved for another assistant or some things the program needs.

Our budget should be the lowest in the SWAC. Our travel is minimal and low. Our budget is what we spend. Not what we raise.. hope you understand that

The three best coaches in the SWAC over the past 3-4 years don't make 200K a year. I've been consistent in my "no SWAC coach should be making over $200K a year (in base salary)" stance. Even with a looming budget increase, I don't want us offering a coach 175-200K a year when there are so many more pressing needs (this applies to most of the schools with a budget under $10 million a year)
