Houston attorney Tony Buzbee never has been shy about voicing his opinion. His view on Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin came through loud and clear late Sunday night, after the Aggies blew a 34-point lead to UCLA in a 45-44 loss.

“I was the only regent last year who expressed grave concerns with Coach Sumlin,” Buzbee told the Houston Chronicle via email. “We expect more.”


Buzbee is a regent at his beloved Texas A&M, and ignited a fire on Facebook with the fire of the Aggies’ stunning loss still burning brightly.

“I'm sure I may be criticized for this post but I honestly don't care,” Buzbee wrote on Facebook, and he later confirmed to the Chronicle that he was indeed the author. “I've been on the Board of Regents for the A&M System for almost seven years. During that time, I've not once commented on Kevin Sumlin and his performance during his tenure at our school. I never said a word when he and his agent manipulated a much bigger and longer contract.


“I said nothing about his arrogance and his mishandling of multiple player controversies. I said nothing when we had multiple awesome recruiting classes, only to see key players leave our school or underperform. But tonight I am very disappointed and I have to say this.”

“Kevin Sumlin was out-coached tonight, which isn't new,” Buzbee continued. “He recruits well, but can't coach the big games, or the close games. Our players were better tonight. Our players were more talented tonight. But our coaches were dominated on national TV, yet again. I'm only one vote on the Board of Regents but when the time comes my vote will be that Kevin Sumlin needs to GO.

“In my view he should go now. We owe it to our school and our players. We can do better. Share this as you see fit.”
 
He might, but I doubt it. They have the money to move on, but who will replace him?

That was AWFUL - that lays at his feet.
 



I hope A&M loses every big game and their precious football program fails. A&M is one of the most racist institutions in Texas and I know how much they hate losing football which makes me smile

And for those who don't know. PVAMU fans were harassed, items thrown at them, called racial slurs, and spit on by A&M last year .... and nothing happened. No one called out the aggressive racist fans and I always said silence is compliance.

Sumlin is a c**n ....
*I hate the way he talks. He talks like your typical Trump supporting redneck
*He likely is a Republican and voted for Trump. Think Ben Carson
*His wife is white (I believe in interracial love but making a point)
*He reeks self-hatred and being delusional about his blackness
*A&M is not a safe space for black talent (academic and athletic)

And once A&M get rid of Sumlin .... they won't get top black talent. A&M student body and culture is too white and weird for the best black players to want to go there. Having a black man as the head helped a lot with recruiting them.
 
Sumlin, should have been fired last night after the game! Why?
* Losing a 34 point lead with 16 minutes left in a game is totally unacceptable.
* He's the 2nd highest paid coach in the SEC and he's at a school with unlimited financially resources, but his teams fold EVERY year.
* He's recruits 4 & 5 star athletes, but they either leave the school or don't live up to their potential.

At some point you have to be held accountable for your program and with all of the money he makes and the resources at his disposal he shouldn't be putting the school in an embarrassing situation like that disaster last night.

Even with their QB going out, A&M should have been able to get first downs running the ball. Hell, the had over 300 yds rushing, but they went into melt down mode.....

I don't know about that one tsugray. Sherril and staff were all up in my family recruiting RB after RB after RB after DE after LBer after RB for numerous years when it was much MUCH worse culturally back then than it is now, based on the stories these laughing dummies tell/told over the years. They all sold their soul to the devil to run dwight's ball for a few shillings of silver and not a single one of them graduated w/ a degree in dirt from that place. aTm will still continue to do whatever it takes to get the T&G black boys in (shiny new venues, free nikes lol, free warmups/attire, shillings of silver, specific beckys giving head, a major in nothing engineering lol, et al).
 
Never heard of firing a coach after 1 game. The next 2-3 games will determine whether or not he survives the month. If they come out flat and look horrible then he will be gone quickly.

Either way, he'll have a job waiting for him in Gainesville cause it's time for a new OC.

Yeah under Sherril, Texas A&M football was a joke and no one outside the College-Station cult took seriously. And there's always going to be stupid black people that will chose to make A&M home but the best and brightest woke ones won't do it. The reason why so many blacks transfer out is because the campus culture is that bad for black folks ... it's very hostile for blacks (again specially the woke ones). The best college football program in Texas in my opinion is UH and UH is of course a better safe space for blacks.

I work with a few black A&M alums (all I can't stand) and they mention several times how racist A&M is but yet they still rep (in talking only) the school .... just mind blowingly stupid and annoying to be around.

If they don't at least make it to the SEC Title game or a New Year's Six bowl nope. Yall see the post I made in the other thread. That game was over with. They folded like a chair. That's on the coach

Sumlin is a G5 school coach or a P5 coordinator. That's why I was happy Strong landed at USF. That's a perfect school for him
 
He is gone unless a miracle season happens, and even then it would take an act of God for him to remain. The big time donors spoke last year about how they felt so I'm sure Sumlin already has his agent and realtor on standby lol

S/N: Putting his feelings aside, that was a super emotional and unprofessional rant for a BOR member of ANY school to put out on social media. Take out the emotionalism and the fact that it is football and he just publicly commented on a personnel issue. Just my two sense and I haven't cared for Sumlin since his UH days.

Whoa, I'm not familiar with this story. What am I missing? Talk to me. And what HBCU did Sumlin's parents attend?
