Re: Michael Dyer: Prairie View A&M Bound?

Just wait til the news spread about our BCS transfer! :D

Congrats PV!

what would help would be if these kids like Dyer and Crowell started recruiting kids they know in high school and start telling them about HBCU's

What will help is while our coaches got kids like Dyer and Crowell on the Campus, they start recruiting Now, as in August getting better kids to compliment these big time Transfers..
Dont be like Alcorn in all of a sudden when McNair Leave you have nothing when you was just the talk of the Country..

Both Coaches should start today, not tomorrow or next week, to get a 4 star offensive lineman to "protect" these guys next year, and 3 and 4 star recievers to "take the pressure" off them.. that should be in the Coaches Spill when they talking to recruits

Re: Michael Dyer: Prairie View A&M Bound?

Congrats PV, hopefully he can get back on track & focus on whats important

Re: Michael Dyer: Prairie View A&M Bound?

Glad to see the SWAC bringing in some good players, not that we don't have any good ones in the conference, now if we can just go more harder after them when exiting H.S.

Re: Michael Dyer: Prairie View A&M Bound?

From CBSSports.com...

That would be former Auburn tailback Michael Dyer, fresh from his dismissal from Arkansas State, announcing his plans to enroll at Prairie View A&M this fall. (Not pictured: A pair of retro Nike sneakers with a PVAMU logo that Dyer passed along with his tweet.) If the transfer comes off, he'll be immediately eligible to play for the Panthers this fall. On the extremely remote chance he hasn't left school for a pro career by then, he'll also have a final year of eligibility remaining in 2013.

Prairie View A&M is an historically black university in Prairie View, Texas, a little north of Houston, known to football fans mainly for an incredible nine-year, 80-game losing streak from 1989-98, easily the most futile run by a single program in NCAA history. (In 1991, the year after Dyer was born, the Panthers scored 48 points all season while allowing an average of 56 points per game.) More recently, Prairie View delivered four consecutive winning seasons from 2007-10 under head coach Henry Frazier III, including a long-awaited SWAC championship in 2009. But it still hasn't had a player drafted by the NFL since the Dallas Cowboys took defensive end Matthew Teague in the tenth round in 1980.

I think all these sports sites are getting their info based on that tweet....LOL....I'll wait for PV Athletic Office to confirm...lol

Re: Michael Dyer: Prairie View A&M Bound?

A huge Razorback fan just came in my office and asked where PV was and if Dyer was really transferring there. Arkansas fans aren't liking this (I guess they still mad about him originally picking Auburn over the Hogs), but word around here is PV had no idea he was coming if that is true, and others are saying that is a fake twitter account. If it is real, good pickup PV.

Re: Michael Dyer: Prairie View A&M Bound?

If PV didn't know about this, chance of him coming are slim to none...

Do you think that if he shows up on campus Heishma won't take him, regardless of whether they talked before his arrival? It says the coach never talked to him. It doesn't say other school officials never talked to him.

The transfer rule used to require the kid to enroll on campus before the coach could contact him. Not sure when it changed.
