Who are the HBCU football coaches on the hot seat?

A&M football has the most favorable conditions since Spady took over. In 2014, Brandon Wells was the returning QB and freshman came in with more talent than Jones' juniors & seniors. In 2015, he lost 15 players before the first game over academic "progress toward degree" issues. 6 or 7 were starters.

This year, he is set up for success. No major academic issues at the level 2015's were, more upperclassmen on the field than freshman and sophomores, starters from 2014 who didn't play last year will play, and nearly wholesale staff changes, with an upgraded DC.

If he can't win 6 games, its over

I guess he's a goner then.

exactly! all these coaching adjustments he made during the off season have to pan out.

Ballard showed what he is capable of down in PV!

That wasn't Spady.. The new defensive coordinator wanted his own people. If the old one wouldn't have went to western Kentucky we would have had the same staff from last year.

I don't think Spady makes it to Year 4 if AAMU doesn't have a winning record

Coleman got a contract extension so I don't think UAPB would fire him unless they look like they did last year

I don't think Odums is on the hot seat but another 6-5 record and you can turn it up to Warm

Hughes will be on the Hot Seat if JSU wins 4-5 games this year
6-5 with two losses coming against FBS teams???? Just like last season, we went 6-5, but played 2 FBS teams. As long as he has a winning season and has the team in the hunt for the title, he will be fine.

Willie Hayes ain't win 10 games with 8 seniors and three ALL SWAC players .... He got a contract extension. Spady ain't going nowhere.

Look who hired Hayes.

And the DC was let go after postseason evaluations. I don't know who told you otherwise

Spady, Coleman, and Odums.

AAMU is in year 3 of the Spady experiment and he hasn't shown any promise. Coleman should've been gone. Odums attempted to cool his hot seat off by getting rid of a few coaches. If he doesn't have a winning season I believe he's gone.
Dude Odums was never on the hotseat

If Spady can't win 6 games with a senior QB (who was on pace to an all-conference season before injuries), a roster loaded with returning starters and a better DC than Reggie Johnson, he will have Mayflower trucks in his driveway

Who is the new DC? How many new coaches you get?
A JSU alum once told me that changing coordinators really does not matter. I used to disagree but after a while you learn that winning is all about the infrastructure and the HC. If those two things are broken, just give it up!

Hughes will be when they start the season 0-3. And if Valley spanks that ass he will probably leave that same night.

0-3 won't necessarily put him on the hotseat but I don't think he will go 0-3. What's going to put him on the hotseat is how the wins and losses look. You get a VERY short honeymoon in Jackson so he has a lot of work to do. Comegy on the SWAC in 2007 and if most fans had their way, he would have been fired after the SCG loss in 2008. I'm dead serious about that.

Good coordinators cant overcome issues above their jobs responsibilities.
