dude gtfoh with that bullshat......every year there is always someone mad @ what the Boom did.......and truthfully, i've seen more good drilling (ie. TnSU game) come from JSU than bad (ie. *rambing game)....but you guys are blowing this waaaayyyy outta control......and i can't believe you guys are listening 2 them dudes

Ummm, I was not in BR in 2007 but in 2000 it was ALL JSU, 2001...no halftime, 2002 (was there but don't remember), 2003 JSU ran ya'll out of Jackson...didn't the Dancing Dolls even get boo'ed.... LOL 2004....was SU in New Orleans. 2005 (was not there), 2006...ALL JSU 100% of the day.
Get out of LaLa land..... ya'll do march better than JSU but you don't sound better and you don't entertain better.
Also, while you all say JSU is trying to sound like Southern, seems to me that SU is trying to sound like J-State. Do you sound like you used to? What did you change? Thought so. JSU simply changes with the times as do all great things that endure.

There's NO sound, I mean, NOOOO sound in the SWAC like the sound of the BOOM's bass drums. It's pure funk that Black people are used to hearing and dancing to throughout history. Horns are not the Black man's historical instrument. The BASS drum is.

I haven't heard a drum section in any band move me or make my heart skip a beat in years......

I hate to interject but I saw a video of that "incident" and you are making it seem like SU got punked and that isn't the case at all. They were in formation and marching back to their band room and JSU insulted them. In order to respond they would have had to break ranks and lose their bearing to do it. I guess you do not know anything about marching band but that would have been against everything that you are taught the first day of band camp.

Dude, why do you have to contradict your OWN statement to try and make a point? First you say SU didn't get punked, then you say they got punked, but they didn't break ranks. Which is it Mr. AAMU alumnus?
There are ways to GET AROUND breaking ranks just in case you didn't know. When they finished marching, they could've responded THEN, but what did they do......they MEEKLY took their instruments and proceeded to head to the BAND HALL. This would've NEVER happened under Greggs.
That and THAT alone, proves that the SU program, after ONE long year, is not what it once was. They punked out and went back to their band room with their Jag tails between their legs.
Oh well, at least you tried, but failed to hold up the SU banner, to no avail. You need to be worried about that so-called band at AAMU before dipping into the business of the "Big Timers".:smh:
