Jackson State fights off fatigue as CIT run continues


Tale of the Tigers’ travel

March 5: JSU lost to Alabama A&M, 54-51, in Huntsville, Alabama.

March 6: The Tigers returned to Jackson early Sunday morning.

March 8: JSU headed to Houston in preparation of the SWAC Tournament.

March 10-12: JSU played games in three consecutive days and fell to Southern in the SWAC Tournament final. The team stayed the night in Houston.

March 13: After accepting a bid to play in the CIT, the Tigers arrived in Huntsville, Texas.

Monday: It took overtime, but JSU claimed its first postseason win since 1993 with an 81-77 victory against Sam Houston State.

Tuesday: The Tigers returned to Jackson at 6 a.m. after spending the past week in Texas.

Wednesday: JSU flew to Phoenix at 6 a.m. for its game at Grand Canyon on Thursday night.

su should've gotten at least 10 backdoor dunks or alleyoops if they would've attacked that slow 1-3-1 the entire game. su didn't attempt ONE alleyoop the entire game and that's how you beat that kind of zone.
He also allowed Holy Cross to dictate the pace when he should've forced the pace and the spacing was terrible. Three players above the free throw line the entire game? Even the female announcer mentioned that at halftime, but su came out the second half doing the same thing.

That is what I saw too. I kept saying Griffin would be having a field day against these guys.

But, if you saw the game, HC's 1-3-1 was extended past the 3 point line all night!!! SU didn't need to Jack up 20 3-pointers! The baseline was a desert!!!

You're speaking to Jag grads. They know everything about everything and we know the rest, nothing. lol That's why they won the game last night. That was a great teaching moment, btw. How NOT to play good bball vs how to play good bball. Good bball won (again). Screen and move screen some more and move some more and then screen yet again and backdoor cut because some folks were never taught how to handle a screen properly. l....o......l......
