Hypocrites!!!! Hypocrites, I say!!!!! And the NCAA already stated that the SCG was NOT a post-season game.

So true, but you can't get certain folks to understand that. Any games after the end of the regular season is deemed "POST" season.

If the NCAA directly banned JSU and SU, why did the Presidents have to vote to ban JSU and SU? Some folks just make up stuff as they go along.

Have you ever heard of Re-Affirmed?

But ya'll want to continue to :deadhorse:

THHAAAANNNNKKKKK YOU!!!

Maybe, since a non-JSU person said it they will get it.

I'm so disappointed in J4L though...he usually can grasp simple stuff a lot faster. What gives?! :noidea: :emlaugh:

And I always thought JSU folks were paranoid about the hate towards their school... you ninjas just may have a valid point

JSU is still mad about the "Tough Love" The SWAC Gave You?

Put it like this...I Highly Doubt JSU's APR would have improved had the SWAC not banned you and gave you tough love.

And you JSU Folks better be glad it was the SWAC...Because if it was the NCAA, Fire and Brimstone Would Have Rained Down In Jackson.

Dude, the NCAA banned teams from other sports, but not the SCG. Again, you don't know what you're talking about.:smh:

Have you ever heard of retroactive penalties? The NCAA clearly stated that the SCG wasn't a post-season game in it's eyes.

How can it be retroactive?

The conference recognize it as a post season game and that's all that matters. So with that they reaffirmed the NCAA ruling on post season game participation.

Ya'll drinking too much of the mississippi river.......so go on and continue to :deadhorse:

...See JSU, this is 2013. Wake Up....Just Because You Have a 65,000 Seat Stadium doesn't mean your say in the SWAC has any more power/influence than Alcorn's Say with our 20,000 Seat Stadium. JSU doesn't have any more say than SU, Grambling, TX Southern, PV, Valley, AAMU, and Alabama State. Oh what, you JSU folks think you are above the conference? You think you are immune to punishment?

Like I said yesterday, the SWAC is not forcing JSU to remain in the conference. Please Leave If You Don't Like What Is Happening. And yeah, JSU is starting to look like the Oklahoma or Texas of the SWAC. This ain't Burger King...You Can't Always Have It Your Way.

And like Baylor, Texas A&M, etc. the smaller schools in the SWAC have taken advantaged of your Pride and moved forward while JSU has gotten left behind. All it takes is putting one person in a position of power. See, you don't need to be good in only football move forward. JSU can have football. If the other nine of us have basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, etc., I'll gladly take that. Besides, when is the last time Veteran's Memorial Stadium was filled to capacity?

Pride has become Toxic in this conference...:smh::smh::smh:.

It was a post season ban. And the SCG is a post season game.

TSUGirl,
You make some good, insightful posts.

MH,
I am going to bow out because I don't want to contribute to more tit for tat but you and I both know the NCAA did not view it as such.

pops,
I am going to bow out too but you and I both know the SCG aint a regular season game for ANY of us and it has never been promoted as a regular season game for ANY of us.

The NCAA allows the SWAC to have a championship game AND a potential bowl game as an exception to the 12-member championship game rule. They actually call it and all other conferences' championship games a "Postseason Football Tournament".

Championship Subdivision Conference Tournament. [FCS] A conference-sponsored, season-ending
postseason tournament (one between teams that are not identified until the end of the preceding
regular season
), not to exceed one contest for any member institution. This provision does not preclude
an institution from participating in a conference-sponsored season-ending postseason tournament and
additional postseason football opportunities (e.g., NCAA Championship, Heritage Bowl) during the
same season; (Adopted: 1/16/93 effective 8/1/93, Revised: 1/13/98 effective 8/1/98, 2/16/00, 12/15/06)

In the eyes of the NCAA, the SCG was not a post-season game. Show me where the NCAA claimed the SCG was an NCAA-sanctioned post season game.
If the NCAA didn't deem it post season, why did the SWAC.

And as far as retroactive is concerned, the ruled voted on to ban JSU and SU wasn't even in place, so yes it was retroactive.

Uhh jag4life, your own post has found you out.
Your slight of hand post may work with a few folks but not here. You failed to comprehend the term "conference-sponsored".
The NCAA never sanctioned the SCG as a post-season game. That is the key.
The SWAC merely went over and above it's call of duty just to please White folks. It's as simple as that.
The NCAA never banned JSU or SU from the SCG and they never required the SWAC to do it either.

Before I clicked "Post" something told me this wouldn't matter to you and yours, even though the NCAA uses the word "postseason".

You guessed right, so that should've cautioned you to think twice before posting. It's not THEIR post-season. It's a non-NCAA sanctioned game sponsored by the conference.
"Post-season" is not the issue, "sanctioning body" is the issue.
