Good grief JSU...this was an absolute blowout. Hughes really might not be the man for the job. He's actually regressed...
 
"There's two things you can do at this point," JSU coach Tony Hughes said. "You can fire everybody and start from scratch, or you take what you got and keep fighting... Schematically what we do is not very different from everyone else in the country.”

Somebody tell Hughes if he starts from scratch, he may not be gone at the end of next season.
 
I was listening on JSU's radio. The commentators were saying that Hughes was prevented by a JSU administrator to talk with them like he usually does at halftime. Anyone knows what that was about? The game was still close and they were down by only 6 I think.

Excuses are the tools of incompetence etc. etc. etc.
 



JSU is the Ole Miss of last year. Ole Miss had Bama and Florida State up by 20+ and lost both games then they blew like 10 point lead. JSU didn’t have Gram or TNSU up by 20 but they were very winnable games and UAPB up by 11 in the 4th and they lose in OT. JSU sprit is gone after they basically like why are we even playing

Man stop. JSU is not the Ole Miss of last year..,, they are simply JSU a losing program that screwed up when Comegy was fired.

None of you want to admit that. Comegy may only raised that SWAC trophy once but he what he did was put JSU in championship conversation every year.

Comegy came to JSU & won a championship his first year. JSU is suffering since he left. Comegy wasn’t so bad after all, right?
Folks need to realize that on any given day any damn team can win regardless of the conference. We are seeing this happen more & more now. JSU’s players came on the field flat and just played like they did not give a damn. Hughes has his work cut out for him for building a good morale for his players.
 
I am however kind of stunned by the amount of Alabama State folks around here Balling and Parlaying. Y'all can all clown JSU and have fun with this if y'all want to, but this is absolutely a terrible time for the SWAC!

0-5 Central State beating UAPB, Tuskegee renewing its ownership papers on Alabama State and then beating the piss out of a SWAC Icon Jackson State, and the SWAC's overall performances against non conference opponents is absolutely unacceptable. We use recruiting as an excuses for losing to other FCS programs, we use facilities as an excuse for not being able to pull off upsets or perform well against FBS programs, and we use money/budget as an excuse to prostitute for Power 5 programs. What's the excuse for losing to division II programs?

Hughes needs to be fired immediately. This is Jackson State here. One of the big 3 of the SWAC history wise. Jackson State is not supposed to lose to Tuskegee like that. Just imagine how bad things would have been if Tuskegee was actually a second round bound division II playoff caliber team like they usually are. JSU needs a new coach now.
 
We good. We're letting Hughes recruit all this good talent so that our next coach, who is already on a winning team staff in black football, will have a stack deck. This is how we planned it. Only a school like JSU could do something like this.
